Giorgian De Arrascaeta, midfielder of Flamengo, was elected Brazilian fans' favorite player among all the athletes competing in the Series A of the Brazilian Championship. The 30-year-old Uruguayan won the competition with Rodrigo Garro, from Corinthians, and received 7.9% of the votes against 7% for the Argentine. The research was carried out by Atlas Intel.
Flamengo dominates the top of the research. Of the top five places, three are Mais Querido players. Pedro, top scorer for Flamengo and Brazil this year, came in third place with 5.9% of those interviewed choosing him as their favorite player. Matheus Pereira, from Cruzeiro, was in fourth place with 4.4%. Despite the recent controversies, Gabigol closes the Top-5 with 4% of the votes.
According to AtlasIntel, 7,374 fans voted in the survey. The margin of error is plus or minus one percentage point. The reliability rate is 95%.
Arrascaeta with morale
This is not the first time that Arrascaeta has received support from fans in recent times. In another survey, focused only on Flamengo fans, the midfielder was elected the best red-black player. The Uruguayan had 36% of the votes and was left in the dispute with Pedro, second in the Atlas Intel survey with 22%.
Cria do Fla is top-3 among all players
In the survey, Atlas Intel also asked who the football player, who could be from any league in the world, would be Brazilians' favorite. Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo won by a landslide, with 30.4% of respondents answering his name to the question. In second position, Garoto do Ninho steals the show. Vinicius Júnior was the second most mentioned name, by 21.1%. After Flamengo's creation, Lionel Messi appears as Brazilians' third favorite footballer with 16.6%. Neymar (6.6%) and Mbappé (5.4%) close the Top-5.

Flamengo Women have a decisive challenge this Wednesday (17), at 6 pm (Brasília time), against São Paulo, at Morumbis stadium. The match, valid for the round of 16 of the Women's Brazil Cup , will be played in a single game. Flamengo begins its journey towards the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores this Thursday (18) . The first leg against Estudiantes (ARG) will be held at Maracanã, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), and will have a full house.
All tickets were sold in advance, guaranteeing an estimated attendance of around 69,000. The expectation is that the Red-Black Nation will fill every section of the stadium , transforming the Maracanã into a cauldron to push the team toward victory.
The team will have important reinforcements. Striker Bruno Henrique and full-back Varela , who were absent last Sunday (14) against Juventude, in the Brazilian Championship , trained normally this Tuesday (16) and should be available to the coach again.
