Uruguayan midfielder Arrascaeta is back in the CRF team after recovering from an injury to his left thigh. The number 14 trained normally last Tuesday (10) and will be available to coach Tite for the game against Bahia, this Thursday (12), in the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil 2024.
< p>After a long period away from the field, Arrascaeta participated in activities without limitations, both on Monday ( 09) and on Tuesday (10). Expectations now revolve around training this Wednesday (11), which will be decisive for coach Tite to decide whether the midfielder will start among the starters or remain as an option on the bench.
In addition to Arrascaeta, the CRF will also count on the returns of Gabigol and Léo Pereira. The two athletes, who were recovering from injuries, have been training with the squad since the end of last week and are ready to be selected for the duel. Gabigol, in fact, is the favorite to take over from Pedro, who suffered a knee injury and will only return to the pitch in 2025.
On the other hand, Tite's team will not be able to count on De La Cruz. The number 18 suffered an injury to his right thigh during the first leg against Bahia, held in Salvador, and, despite his efforts, was unable to recover in time for the decisive clash at Maracanã.
This Thursday (12), Mais Querido will face Bahia at 9:45 pm, at Maracanã, in a game valid for the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil. With a 1-0 victory in the first leg, CRF only needs a draw to guarantee their place in the semi-finals.
Bahia, led by Rogério Ceni, needs to win by two or more goals to advance directly. In case of victory by one goal difference, the decision will be on penalties.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

The last meeting took place in the group stage of the 2019 Libertadores, when Rubro-Negro was defeated 1-0 at Maracanã and drew goalless in the second game, in Montevideo.
