Striker Bill, featured for Flamengo in the Copinha at score two goals against EC São Bernardo in the last round of the group stage, does not hide his passion for the club. A red-black fan since childhood, the 18-year-old spoke about his relationship with Mais Querido, comparisons with stars revealed at Ninho do Urubu and the dreams he seeks to fulfill with Manto Sagrado.
With a contract valid until the end of 2026 and a termination fine set at R$ 300 million, Bill revealed, in an interview with ESPN, his pride in be compared to names like Vini Jr. and Lucas Paquetá, two former Flamengo players who shine in world football . Despite this, the striker remains humble and reinforces his desire to forge his own path at the club.
"Being compared to big names from Flamengo's academy is an honor, right? Vini Jr. and Paquetá are among the best in the world world. But everyone has their own story, their style. I hope to be able to build mine here at Flamengo and throughout my career", said Bill.
Rejection of PSV's proposal
Bill also commented on the proposal he received from PSV Eindhoven, from The Netherlands , when he was just 15 years old. At the time, both Flamengo and the athlete were sought, but the young man chose to remain at his favorite club.
"This proposal (from PSV) came when I was just 15 years old. But it was my decision to stay because I have the dream of playing professionally for my team. heartand I'm working hard to make this a reality," he declared.
Dream realized at the Copinha
Playing in his first edition of the Copinha, Bill highlighted the importance of the tournament in his career. For the striker, playing in the biggest youth competition in the world, especially for Flamengo, is a dream come true. He also projected the search for the title after qualifying for the knockout stages.
"Playing the Copinha is like making a dream come true. Since I was a child, I've always wanted to compete in this competition, even more so for my favorite team. It's an honor. If we continue working with the same focus and motivation, we have a chance to fightfor the title", said the striker.
Regarding the decisive goals against EC São Bernardo, which guaranteed Flamengo in the next phase, Bill did not hide his emotion: "I always dreamed of this moment, being able to score a goal in the Copinha. And I was able to do this for Flamengo, which, as I said, is my favorite team."
Next challenge
With Bill on the field, Flamengo will face Bragantino this Monday (13), at < b>9:30 pm, in Mogi das Cruzes. The match, valid for the knockout stage, will be decisive to guarantee classification for the round of 16 of the Copinha.
Mais Querido seeks to maintain hegemony and win the tournament for the second time in front of an audience that could break the competition's record.

This Saturday (23) will be decisive for Flamengo's youth team. The red-black team faces Barcelona, from Spain, in the final of the U-20 Club World Cup , at Maracanã. Current two-time champion of the Libertadores in the category, the team also defends the world title won in 2024, when they beat Olympiacos, from Greece, 2-1, in a comeback. That year, the team was led by Filipe Luís, now coach of the professional squad.
A large crowd is expected. So far, around 33,000 tickets have been sold for the final , and the organizers expect to surpass the competition's all-time record, held by the match between Peñarol (URU) and Benfica (POR), with 40,000 fans. In total, 35,000 tickets were made available for the match.
According to tournament organizers, if the match ends in a draw after regulation time, the champion will be decided by penalty kicks, as there will be no extra time. The fans are in a state of anticipation, promising to pack the Maracanã stadium to cheer on the young athletes in pursuit of a second consecutive world title.

The under-20 squad began preparing for the final last Monday (18). The following day, the club released the list of related players , which includes names already known to the fans, such as Matheus Gonçalves , Joshua and Lorran, all of whom have played for the professional team.
The top team, led by coach Filipe Luís, returns to the field this Wednesday (20) for the second game of the round of 16 of the Libertadores against Internacional, at Beira-Rio. The match is scheduled for 9:30 pm (Brasília time) and will be broadcast by Rede Globo (open TV), ESPN (closed TV) and Disney+.
