The Moroccan Football Federation announced this Sunday (10) that the friendly match scheduled between Morocco and Brazil for Monday (11) was canceled due to the earthquake that hit the country last Friday (08). As a result, goalkeeper Matheus Cunha will return early from the call-up.
The decision by the Moroccan Football Federation is related to the delicate situation that the African country faces after the earthquake last Friday (08). To date, local authorities report that at least 2,100 people have lost their lives as a result of this earthquake.
Due to the cancellation of the friendly match originally scheduled for this Monday (11), Matheus Cunha, goalkeeper of the Flamengo, currently focused on the squad, will anticipate his return from preparation for the Olympic Games and could become a reinforcement for Sampaoli as he is Mais Querido's starting goalkeeper.
Last Thursday (07) , the Brazilian team faced Morocco in their first friendly match and suffered a 1-0 defeat. Matheus Cunha played an important role by playing during the 90 minutes, being one of the three players who were not substituted by coach Ramon Menezes.
Meanwhile, Flamengo focuses its efforts on the next commitment. Mengão is scheduled to take the field on Wednesday (13), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), against Athletico-PR, at the Kléber Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica, Espírito Santo, for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship. p>

This Saturday, Roma defeated Pisa 1-0 in a Serie A match. The standout performer was Argentine Matías Soulé, who scored the winning goal. The match also featured a strong red-and-black presence : Wesley was once again a starter for Roma, while Lorran, on loan from Flamengo , watched the match from the stands.
Recently loaned by Flamengo to Pisa, Lorran was present at the stadium to observe his future teammates . Before kickoff, the youngster participated in the warm-up on the sidelines, already wearing the colors of his new club, and even greeted Wesley, his former teammate at Ninho do Urubu.
The first half featured heavy marking, numerous fouls, and few clear-cut scoring chances. The teams went into halftime with the score tied , in a game more physical than technical. After the break, Roma showed more aggression.
In the 55th minute, Soulé received a good pass, beat the marker and finished with class to open the scoring: 1-0. Shortly after, in the 61st minute, the Argentine found the net again , but the move was reviewed by VAR and the second goal was disallowed.
A regular starter, Wesley was a standout at right-back, playing as a winger in Gian Piero Gasperini's system . He proved to be solid in defense and involved in attack, traits that caught the coach's attention while he was still at Flamengo .
With the defeat, Pisa remains with just one point in the standings and returns to action on September 14th against Udinese, again at home. Roma, with six points from two games, faces Torino also on the 14th, at home.

Grêmio will have to deal with new problems for the match against Flamengo , this Sunday (30), at Maracanã, for the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship. The list of related players released by the Rio Grande do Sul club confirmed important losses for coach Mano Menezes.
The team's starting striker, Alysson , suffered a left ankle sprain during training and is out for the match . He joins Amuzu, who is still undergoing treatment for muscle discomfort. Another alternative is to use Carlos Vinicius, which would lead to a tactical change, with Braithwaite dropping back to help create plays.
Despite the absences, Tricolor could have some new players. Recently signed Peruvian midfielder Erick Noriega was named in the squad for the first time and could make his debut . He participated in training throughout the week and is expected to earn minutes against Flamengo .
Another reinforcement, midfielder Arthur , already registered, was not included in the delegation, as planned by the coaching staff. To make up for the absence of important names, Mano Menezes also called up youngsters Luis Eduardo, Gabriel Mec, and Jardiel , who traveled to Rio de Janeiro.
Mano Menezes' Grêmio team to face Flamengo is: Tiago Volpi; Marcos Rocha, Wagner Leonardo, Kannemann and Marlon; Dodi, Cuéllar and Edenilson; Pavon (Carlos Vinicius), Cristian Olivera and Braithwaite.
