ATTENTION, FLAMENGO! GABIGOL MAKES AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT ABOUT HIS SUSPENSION: "DIPSAPPOINTED"

Flamengo forward Gabigol spoke out after the suspension of the Anti-Doping Sports Court (TJD-AD). After all, accused of attempting to defraud an anti-doping test, the number 10 was punished for two years. The deadline, however, ends in April 2025, as it is retroactive to the day of the episode, in April 2023.

In a note, Gabigol stated that he did not try to cheat the exam. athlete, in fact, said he trusts that he will obtain an acquittal together with the defense. The attacker's lawyers, in addition to Flamengo's legal department, have already given the first steps. Finally, the red-black number 10 regretted the decision, but said he would continue to cooperate with the authorities.

“I would like to speak out and clarify the trial that took place today, in which I was suspended for an alleged attempt to cheat an anti-doping test.

Despite my respect for the Court, I reiterate that I have never attempted to obstruct or defraud any exam, and I trust that I will be exonerated by the higher court.

Since the beginning of my career as a football player, I have always followed the rules of the game and never used prohibited substances. I have already been subjected to dozens of tests, all of which have always been negative, which reinforces my commitment to my Club and to Brazilian fans.

I am disappointed with the result of the trial, but I will continue to cooperate with the sporting authorities and remain confident that my innocence will be proven and reestablished by the higher court.
