Once again linked to Mais Querido, Walace had negotiations with the club denied by Rogério Braun
|
0Speculated as a reinforcement for Flamengo since 2018, midfielder Walace, from Udinese, entered the sights of a new Brazilian club: Cruzeiro. According to information obtained by “Itatiaia”, the Minas Gerais club's football CEO, Alexandre Mattos, is in Europe to negotiate for the player's signing.
Alexandre Mattos left for the old continent with the mission of unlocking the negotiations by midfielder Matheus Henrique, from Sassuolo, who already has advanced talks with Cruzeiro. The director, however, would also take the opportunity to investigate Walace's situation.
Revealed by Grêmio and Olympic champion with the Brazilian team's shirt in 2016, Walace has been at Udinese since 2018 and welcomes a return to Brazil. At 29 years old, the midfielder has a contract until June 2026, but the Italians would be open to negotiating for around R$ 35 million.
Therefore, the Cruzeiro director must come face to face with Udinese representatives in the coming days to find out the conditions and express their interest in Walace. In addition to the Minas Gerais club, other Brazilian football clubs would also be interested in the player, such as Corinthians, for example.
A target of Flamengo in the last transfer windows, Walace seems to no longer be of interest to Rubro-Negro. Despite having his name linked to Mais Querido once again, recent news about a supposed interest from the Rio club is nothing more than speculation. At least that's what the player's agent, Rogério Braun, assured.
According to the Mundo Rubro Negro portal, the agent denied that there is any type of negotiation between Flamengo and Walace at the moment: “Nothing has arrived for me until now. Nothing concrete.”
For the journalist, it is not possible to understand how the coach is still in charge of Flamengo
|
0After the tragic elimination of Flamengo in the Libertadores, against Peñarol, the journalist Renato Maurício Prado, wrote in his 'Uol' column, questions, for him, without answers, regarding the work of Tite and the Flamengo board in the current season.
Following in full:
1. How can a team that needs to win not shoot on goal? In two entire matches, against Peñarol (which spends less than 15% of Flamengo's salary on its football), there were only two shots towards the rival's goal.
2. How can a coach leave the club's most expensive signing, Carlos Alcaraz, on the bench, preferring to exchange Fabrício Bruno for David Luiz, as if that would make any difference?
3. How can a coach who calls himself a "chameleon", for "knowing how to play in different ways", attribute the resounding failure of his work to the injury of a center forward, Pedro, around whom the team's entire scheme was created?
4. How this scheme never worked, even with Pedro on the field, during most of the poor Libertadores campaign, with defeats to Bolívar. Palestinian and what not?
5. How could the work of a year, considered by many to be the best Brazilian coach in activity, been unable to produce even a draft team with the supposedly best squad in Brazil?
6. How did Carioquinha's impregnable defense become a sieve, Swiss cheese, even though it has admittedly good quality players?
7. How did De La Cruz and Arrascaeta start to play so badly? What's wrong with preparing both?
8. How do Rodolfo Landim and Marcos Braz still think they will win their respective elections with another year of collecting failures, like in 2023?
9. How can Flamengo believe that they will win the Copa do Brasil by continuing such poor work?
10. How has Tite not been fired yet?

0Gerson regretted the elimination of Flamengo to Peñarol, this Thursday (26), in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores. The teams drew 0-0 in Uruguay — the Uruguayans had won the first game 1-0, at Maracanã. The midfielder spoke about Flamengo's anxiety in the search for a goal in tonight's game and assessed that the classification was lost in the first game. What did he say?
Anxiety about scoring a goal. We had a good first half, we accelerated the game in the second half, we got into his game. It's sad, difficult to talk about. Frustrated with the result, we lost classification on the first leg, at home.
Gerson, on ESPN
They played both series for one ball, they got it and it's their credit. That's what they planned. It's difficult to talk, it's sad, we wanted things. Now we have to raise our heads, we have Brazil and the Brazilian Cup ahead of us.
Léo Pereira
We are angry about the game we played at home, but after we scored the goal we started to accelerate a lot. We were very impatient and left something to be desired at home. Here we impose ourselves, I don't remember a clear chance for them. It's about apologizing to the fans, we still have the rest of the season, we have to work hard to win the title in the Copa do Brasil or the Brazilian Championship.
Fabrício Bruno
The team's next opponent Flamengo will be Athlético-PR, in a match valid for the Brazilian Championship. The duel is scheduled for 8pm, at Maracanã.
The striker's contract with Rubro-Negro ends in December
|
0Remarkable name in the history of Flamengo, the striker Gabigolmust say goodbye to the club in December, when your contract comes to an end. Bahia, controlled by the City group, appears as a strong competitor to sign the center forward next season, seeing Gabriel Barbosa as a key player for 2025. The information was released by influencer Paparazzo Rubro-Negro.
In addition to Bahia, three other Brazilian clubs are closely monitoring Gabigol's situation: Palmeiras, Cruzeiro and Corinthians. Palmeiras tried to negotiate a pre-contract with the player in 2024, but Gabi gave no response, leading president Leila Pereira to withdraw the proposal. However, in January, the scenario could change, as the striker is a name that coach Abel Ferreira likes.
At Cruzeiro, Gabigol is seen as a fundamental piece in the team's reconstruction. Raposa seeks to regain its leading role in national football, and the signing of shirt number 99 from Flamengo would be a sign of strength in the market. At Corinthians, the idea is that Gabriel would form a prominent attacking duo alongside Dutchman Memphis Depay.
Episode wearing the Corinthians shirt cheers up the São Paulo clubDespite the situation delicate financial situation, Corinthians considers signing Gabigol in 2025 as an investment. Episodes such as the fact that Gabi wore the Corinthians shirt at a party at her home and the praise given to the club's fans during an interview on the Podpah podcast cheer up president Augusto Melo. Recently, Flamengo's football vice-president, Marcos Braz, showed pessimism regarding the top scorer's permanence: “Possible, but little likely”, he stated.
Gabigol has been at Flamengo since 2019 and, in that period, won two Championships Brazilians, two Libertadores, one Copa do Brasil, four Campeonatos Cariocas, one Recopa and two Supercups. However, he is currently the third option in the attack under Tite's command, behind even Carlinhos, a standout in Carioca for Nova Iguaçu.
