The year 2024 hasn't even started and Flamengo is already preparing small gifts for its fans. And a surprise has already leaked that was being prepared in conjunction with Adidas: a 'popular' shirt. Next year, the Rubro-Negra Nation will have easier access to the Sacred Mantle through the new "fan jersey".
The Máquina do Esporte portal had first-hand access to this information, through an interview with Gustavo Oliveira, the club's vice-president of communication and marketing. The professional was on the Maquinistas podcast, this Tuesday (07), talking about the subject.
“Over the last three years, we have been holding meetings with Adidas' top managers. And one of the topics we cover is the cheapest shirt. After these three years of work, I am happy to say that, at the beginning of next year, we will have this shirt”, said the director.
He also pointed out that the new version of the Sacred Mantle will have a very close to that of the official game uniform. “There will be differences, of course, even to avoid cannibalization. But the ‘fan jersey’ will be more accessible to fans who do not have the income to purchase an official shirt in stores,” he stated. Even so, the item will be sold as a premium product, as it will not lose anything in quality.
Currently, at Flamengo's official online store, the official number 1 adult men's shirt is sold at R$ 499.99 (promotional price). Uniform 2, in this same version, costs R$599.99. Everything indicates that the "fan jersey" will be available for sale in March 2024.
The duo is reinstated into the Mengão squad after the FIFA Date and may be available to coach Filipe Luís for the game against Juventude.

With the end of the national team's commitments in the FIFA Date of September, Flamengo begins to welcome its players back. Among them, Arrascaeta and Varela, who were released by the Uruguayan national team before the duel against Chile . The duo returns this Wednesday (10) and participates in the activity scheduled for 9:30 am (Brasília time), at Ninho do Urubu.

Real Madrid is considering trading Vinicius Júnior to free up space in its squad and invest in signing Bayern Munich standout Michael Olise. The Brazilian striker, a star of the Mais Querido club, has yet to reach a renewal agreement with the Spanish club, fueling speculation about his departure.

Among Flamengo's squad for the FIFA Date in September, Jorge Carrascal was the only one who did not enter the field . Called up by the Colombian national team, the midfielder was not even included in the match against Venezuela, last Tuesday (9).
Coach Néstor Lorenzo had already called up players above the permitted limit and, therefore, opted to cut the Flamengo player from the final list . Meanwhile, all the other Flamengo players called up by their national teams actively participated in the matches.
Arrascaeta and Varela, for example, were starters for Uruguay and had a direct role in the victory over Peru. This Tuesday (9), Matías Viña and Samuel Lino started playing for Celeste and Brazil , respectively, while Gonzalo Plata defended Ecuador as a starter against Argentina.
The midfielder's absence from the last two qualifying matches reinforces his recent loss of prominence in the Colombian national team. With qualification for the World Cup already assured, Carrascal will have to prove himself at Flamengo to regain coach Néstor Lorenzo's consideration .

I have high hopes that he becomes an idol, because he's the kind of player the fans love to watch . The way he carries the ball and creates opportunities is something that could mark the club's history for years to come," said the coach.
