Atlético-MG recorded the biggest audience in the Brazilian Championship in the 4-2 defeat to Flamengo, last Wednesday (July 3). The match, valid for the 14th round, was attended by 39,993 fans at Arena MRV.
The previous record was in the last round, in the 1-1 draw with Atlético Goianiense, which attracted 39,767 spectators . The MRV Arena has proven to be a great stage for games with a large audience, reinforcing the passion of the Atletico fans.
The largest audience ever recorded at the MRV Arena was in the first game of the 2024 Campeonato Mineiro final, against Cruzeiro, which attracted 42,592 fans. The second and third largest audiences were also in games against Cruzeiro, highlighting the intense rivalry between the two clubs.

Now, the Flamengo squad focuses on the next challenge of the season. On Saturday (6), the team faces Cuiabá in the 15th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will be played at Maracanã, at 8pm (Brasília time).
ISOLATED LEADERSHIP
Flamengo is the isolated leader of the Brasileirão, with 30 points won in 42 games played. So far, Tite's team has nine wins, three draws and two defeats. The team scored 26 goals and conceded 14, consolidating itself as one of the favorites for the title this season.
