After winning 3-2 at Gávea, Rubro-Negro was defeated 2-1 by Tricolor, this Sunday (6), resulting in a tie on aggregate. José Eduardo scored the decisive penalty and started the party.
Needing to win, Fluminense started the match trying to occupy the attacking field and had a chance with a free kick early on. The ball went to the right of goalkeeper Alessandro. The opponent had more volume, but most of the plays were balls thrown into the area. A free kick from the left hit the crossbar in the 19th minute.
Shortly after, at 22 minutes, Tricolor ended up scoring the first goal, precisely from a rebound after a cross from the left, taken advantage of by Crystian Gabriel. The red-and-black team, which had difficulty imposing its game, improved after conceding the goal and started to create a few more chances. It was Fluminense, however, that came very close to extending the lead shortly before the end of the first half. The defense was unable to clear the ball and Alessandro saved a point-blank shot from the opposing striker.

After beating Bahia in the Brasileirão , the Garotos do Ninho were unable to beat Botafogo this Saturday (5) and ended up finishing as runners-up in the Carioca under-17 championship. The game ended 1-0 in favor of the rival, who had already won the first leg 5-4.
Botafogo opened the scoring in the first half. After a pass from Arthur Novaes, Miguel Caldas received the ball, invaded the area and hit the top corner with the shot. The game was played in Gávea, a week after the first leg, played in Engenhão.
