In a recent statement to the press, Flamengo's vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, expressed his concern about the lack of equality in the Brazilian Championship. According to Braz, the Rio club could face absences in up to nine rounds of the tournament due to the Copa América, which, according to him, puts the team in an unfavorable situation compared to other leagues around the world. Braz highlighted the peculiarity of the Brazilian situation in relation to the holding of international competitions and its impact on national clubs. MARCOS BRAZ CRITICIZES INEQUALITY IN THE BRASILEIRÃO

For him, the absence of the main players during nine rounds is a significant obstacle for the Flamengo, which invests in talent and sees its competitiveness compromised due to the lack of equality. Marcos Braz's criticism highlights a recurring issue in Brazilian football: the inequality of conditions between clubs, whether due to disparity in financial resources or structural issues. The fact that Flamengo is penalized for having a qualified squad brings up debates about the need for reforms in the calendar and organization of national competitions.

In addition to the sporting aspect, the absence of the main players may have < a href="https://gazetadourubu.com/noticia/flamengo-mantem-hegemonia-nos-classicos-na-era-tite" target="_blank">financial consequences for Flamengo. The loss of points during the nine rounds in question can affect not only the club's position in the Brasileirão table, but also its revenue from prizes and television quotas, highlighting the challenges faced by Brazilian clubs in a globalized competitive environment.

Marcos Braz's statements not only reflect Flamengo's immediate concern with the Brasileirão, but also raise questions about the future of Brazilian football. Given the need to balance competition and promote greater equality of conditions between clubs, it is essential that measures are adopted that take into account both the sporting and economic interests of those involved.

Marcos Braz's criticism The lack of equality in the Brazilian Championship highlights a complex and multifaceted issue that affects not only Flamengo, but all of Brazilian football. Given the challenges presented by international competitions and the disparity in resources between clubs, it is essential that solutions are sought that promote greater equity and competitiveness in the national sporting scene.

Flamengo will no longer make signings in 2024, this is what Marcos Braz guarantees. After qualifying for the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil, this Thursday (12), the vice-president of red-black football gave an interview in the mixed zone of Maracanã and confirmed that the club considered hiring a new striker after Pedro's injury. But the board's final decision is to trust the attackers who are in the squad.

“We believe in the end. There were four hired at the beginning of the year, four now. We raised the hypothesis of bringing in a striker, but we understood, talking to everyone, that it was bringing someone to actually solve it”, began Braz after Flamengo 1 x 0 Bahia.

The manager recalled that Gabigol and Bruno Henrique has already been very decisive with the Sacred Mantle and has all the capacity to take over the top scorer spot. Camisa 27, in fact, was the author of the assist for the winning goal this Thursday.

“Whoever we have here has solved our problem many times, like Gabigol, Bruno 9, as he did today. Flamengo has already closed the window. Let's go with what we have until the end, recovering players. Gabigol returned today.”.

Some attackers were offered after Pedro suffered a serious injury while serving the national team. The name that gained the most traction within Flamengo was that of Frenchman Anthony Martial, formerly of Manchester United, but the deal did not move forward. Now, Marcos Braz confirms that Mengão is no longer on the market.

Flamengo signed this season: De La Cruz, Viña, Léo Ortiz, Carlinhos, Michael, Alex Sandro, Carlos Alcaraz and Gonzalo Plata. Reinforcements that together cost R$298.2 million to the club's coffers.

“It happens in football. Gabriel solved our problems several times and resolved them well. I'm not casting, but there's Bruno Henrique himself, Carlinhos. We are comfortable (with these attackers) for the competitions”, added Braz.

Marcos Braz admits Gabigol's departure from Flamengo

Gabigol was the main theme of the football vice interview. Asked once again about a possible contract renewal, Braz finally acknowledged that the trend is for Camisa 99 to leave at the end of the season.

“There may be a chance of contract renewal. It’s not impossible, but, unfortunately, it’s unlikely today”, concluded Marcos Braz.
