Bruno Henrique is one of the oldest players on the Flamengo squad. Since 2019 at the club, the striker has seen many arrivals and departures of Mais Querido players. In an interview with ‘FlaTV’, the number 27 revealed the feeling he had when a teammate left Rubro-Negro.
“Michael is a great friend. He played for Goiás, clubs we have a lot of affection for. When he (Michael) left, I missed his daily life here. We always kept in touch (…) We always maintained this friendship even from afar, we always watched his games too. He's a guy who I have great affection for,” said Bruno Henrique.
Michael and Bruno Henrique acted together in Flamengo for two seasons. During this period, both participated in victorious campaigns with Manto Sagrado, and helped bring titles to Mais Querido, including a Brasileirão (2020), a Recopa Sul-Americana (2020), two Brazilian Super Cups (2020 and 2021) and two State Championships (2020 and 2021).
MICHAEL BACK TO FLAMENGO
After two seasons playing for Al Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, 'Robozinho ' returned to red and black. In the mid-year transfer window, Michael was the first reinforcement announced by Mais Querido. Upon his return, the new number 30 was a starter and scored a goal on his debut in Flamengo's 2-1 victory against Red Bull Bragantino, at Maracanã.
In the confrontation with Bahia, last Wednesday- fair (28), Michael started as an option on the reserve bench. During the second half, the attacker came on, however, he soon had to leave the field due to a thigh injury. The athlete had to go to the locker room carried by members of the club's technical committee. 'Robozinho' is expected to be out for two months because of the injury and will not be registered for the Libertadores quarterfinals.
FLAMENGO'S NEXT GAME
While Michael recovers from the injury, Bruno Henrique is available to coach Tite for Flamengo's next commitment in the season. On Sunday (01), Mais Querido visits Corinthians, in Itaquera, for the 25th round of the Brasileirão.
At 37, the Mengão player says it's time to enjoy his family and leave the sport aside for a while after three decades as an athlete.

The career of one of the greatest Brazilian midfielders of recent decades has come to an end . Renato Augusto, a Flamengo player, has announced his retirement from football . His last club was Fluminense, where he terminated his contract four months ago.
Renato Augusto, Flamengo product: "The time has come to hang up my boots"
"The time has come to say goodbye. Or even a see you soon to football . It's time to turn to the other side of life, pay more attention to my children, and return to being a full-time father and husband. The time has come to hang up my boots," he declared in an interview with GE.
Now, the former player intends to dedicate more time to his wife, Fernanda, and his sons, Romeu, seven, and Mateo, two. The decision was motivated not only by the natural physical limitations of his age , but mainly by the desire to be more present in his family's life.
"It's really hard to actually say, 'I'm going to stop.' For 31 years, that's all I did. Since I was six years old, I've always been playing. I thought it would be easy, but it wasn't. What weighed most heavily was the desire to be closer to my family," he said.
Discovered in 2005, Renato Augusto wore the Sacred Mantle in 93 matches, scoring nine goals. In 2006, he won his first titles: the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Carioca, repeating the state title in 2007. In 2008, he transferred to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany in a €10 million deal, a fee that helped the club pay off debts and retain midfielder Ibson.
After five years in Europe, he returned to Brazil in 2013, but revealed that Flamengo showed no interest in him. So, he moved on to Corinthians, where he became an idol , and later played for Beijing Guoan in China. At the end of his career, he played for Corinthians again and ended his career at Fluminense.
At 37 years old, Renato Augusto says goodbye as a player of refined class, with memorable spells at top clubs and call-ups to the Brazilian National Team , leaving his mark on national and international football.
