Flamengo's 4-2 victory over Atlético-MG at Arena MRV, last Wednesday (3), in the 14th round of the Brazilian Championship, was marked by intense complaints regarding the refereeing, especially in relation to penalties unmarked and one marked against Rubro-Negro.

This Thursday (4), the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released the VAR analysis with referee Ramon Abatti Abel in not marking the penalty on top of the steering wheel Erick Pulgar.

VAR DIALOGUE

In the dialogue, the referee explains that the two athletes in dispute 'slip', with the analysis being corroborated by the video referee.

Referee: "(The clash) has no impact, both are looking for the ball, (Pulgar) slips. You can go, the two slip."

VAR: "The foot gets caught when the two fight for the ball, he doesn't pull it. The defender is in the normal movement in the run, there is no infraction. ."

Before the Chilean fell in the area, angering the Rubro-Negros for not giving the penalty, the referee had awarded a penalty to Eduardo Vargas for an arrival by Allan . Ramon Abatti Abel needed the VAR's analysis, as he initially did not mark the infraction.

In checking, the video referee sees a shot from the steering wheel after hitting the ball to the Atletico attacker, leading to a change in the referee's decision.

VAR: "(Allan) Kicks the ball and then catches the guy's foot (Vargas). Hold (the move, Ramon), wait , we're checking. (Allan) Kick the ball and catch the guy. Ramon, I'll check the APP, but I'll recommend a review for a possible penalty, (Allan's) contact with the ball is minimal.

Referee: "The ball remains in context."

VAR: "Apparently he kicks the attacker."

Referee: "Show me an open camera. Despite having touched the ball, the ball is in context, the decision is a penalty without a card."

TURN OF KEY

Now, Flamengo's squad becomes the key to focus on the next opponent of the season. This is because, on Saturday (6), Mais Querido faces Cuiabá, in the 15th round of the Brazilian Championship. The game takes place at Maracanã, starting at 8pm (Brasília time).

Currently, Flamengo is the isolated leader of the Brasileirão, with 30 points won in 42 disputed. So far, there have been nine wins, three draws and two defeats in the Brazilian Championship. The team led by Tite scored 26 goals and conceded 14 times, consolidating itself as one of the favorites for the title this season.
