Flamengo faces a bureaucratic process to obtain compensation for Pedro's serious injury, which occurred during training for the Brazilian team . However, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has already guaranteed that it will support the Rio club in the procedure with FIFA. The CBF, however, should only focus on Pedro's case after the team's duel against Paraguay, this Tuesday (10).
After the end of the FIFA Date, the Brazilian team's doctors will have to prepare a detailed report on the attacker's situation. This document will be forwarded to FIFA so that Flamengo can begin the process in the Club Protection Program, which stipulates compensation for players who are injured while serving their national teams.
The Flamengo has a deadline of 28 days to complete the bureaucracy. This is the period stipulated by FIFA for requesting compensation. The club must make an online request, attaching all the necessary documents that prove the injury and its severity, as well as the player's expected long recovery period. These documents must be signed by doctors from both Flamengo and the Seleção Brazilian. Furthermore, the club must present Pedro's salary figures in two languages: Portuguese and one of the options – English, Spanish, French or German.
Pedro suffered the injury during a Brazilian team training session in Curitiba, last Wednesday (04). The attacker ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Recovery time for this type of injury is estimated between nine and 12 months. Flamengo is waiting for the knee to deswell to schedule surgery.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

This Wednesday (17), the CBF announced the day that will be the draw for the field hosts for the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil. The event that will take place at the entity's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, will start at 2 pm, next Friday (20).
Still without the field command defined, the semi-final games of the Copa do Brasil are: Flamengo x Corinthians and Atlético-MG x Vasco. Remembering that the dates of the round-trip clashes are October 2nd and 17th.
It is worth remembering that Mais Querido defeated Bahia to qualify for the semi-finals, just as Corinthians got past Juventude. Vasco eliminated Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG beat São Paulo.
Before Flamengo worries about the semifinals of Copa do Brasil, Mais Querido will have another decision ahead. This is because, Rubro-Negro faces Peñarol this Thursday (19th) and on September 26th, in games valid for the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.
