Everton Cebolinha stood out in the rout of Flamengo 6-1 against Vasco last Sunday, and on Thursday he was interviewed live by FlaTV, the club's official YouTube channel . The striker, who scored a goal and provided two assists in the classic, spoke about Flamengo's next challenges, starting with the clash with Grêmio next Thursday, at 8pm, at Maracanã, in the eighth round of the Brazilian Championship.
Cebolinha, whose real name is Everton Sousa Soares, began his career at Fortaleza's academy, but it was at Grêmio that he stood out and gained national recognition, spending nine years at the club from Rio Grande do Sul and reaching the Brazilian national team. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has selected five athletes from the youth ranks of Rio de Janeiro clubs to participate in the Brazilian national team's training session in Teresópolis.
