After the conclusion of the 33rd round, the competition for the Brasileirão title intensified considerably, with five teams involved in the dispute to win the trophy. The recent victories boosted the chances of Grêmio and Flamengo, as pointed out by an analysis carried out by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
After the positive results, the chances of winning the title for Grêmio increased by 5.1% to 18.3%, while Flamengo saw its probability rise from 1.6% to 6.2%. However, Botafogo remains the favorite, with a probability of 30%, followed closely by RB Bragantino, with 25.2%, and Palmeiras, with 19.8%.
Botafogo , current leader of the Brasileirão with 59 points, is tied with Palmeiras and Grêmio, both with one more round played. On the other hand, RB Bragantino and Flamengo, with 58 and 56 points, respectively, have the same number of matches as the leader.
NEXT ROUND WITH DIRECT CONFRONTATION< p>In the next round, Botafogo will face RB Bragantino on Sunday, at 4pm (Brasília time), at the Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium. Palmeiras, in turn, faces Internacional on Saturday, at 9pm, at Arena Barueri.
At the same time and date as the Botafogo match, Grêmio hosts Corinthians. Meanwhile, Flamengo will have the classic against Fluminense on Saturday, at 6:30 pm, at Maracanã.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
