Flamengo went to Belo Horizonte and was not aware of Atlético Mineiro. Away from home and devastated by absences, Rubro-Negro beat their opponents 4-2 and won an important three points in the Brazilian Championship. Despite the victory, Tite was indignant with the refereeing after the match.

In a press conference, the Flamengo coach demanded consistency from the refereeing and named Rodrigo D’Alonso, responsible for VAR. Tite is charged for the unmarked penalty on Erick Pulgar, in the final stretch of the second half. The Chilean suffers a clear foul inside the area, ignored by Ramon Abatti Abel, referee of the match, and by the VAR.

“I got the third yellow card and I was wrong because I complained loudly and I consented. Now, I don't want anything professionally, I don't want to win with an advantage. Anyone who knows me knows. But I don't want them to take my cheese. The thing about Erick (Pulgar)…”, said Tite, before completing.

“I’ll give names again. Rodrigo D’Alonso, who was the VAR guy and who gives the penalty where Allan touches the ball, and then doesn’t give the penalty where the guy touches Pulgar directly on the foot, I can’t understand. I swear I can't. What is the criteria? I will allow myself to speak publicly, because when I complain on the sidelines I am punished. So please, just use the same criteria”, said the Flamengo coach.

Flamengo's next appointment

With the victory over Atlético-Mg , Flamengo is isolated at the top of the Brazilian Championship with 30 points. Botafogo is right behind with 27 (they beat Cuiabá in the round), but could be overtaken this Thursday, by Palmeiras, who have 26 and can reach 29 points, if they beat Grêmio, away from home.

Fla's next opponent is Cuiabá. The match will be held next Saturday, the 6th, at 9pm, at Maracanã.
