This last Saturday (8), coach Ramon Menezes brought together the Brazilian under-20 team for a training game against Botafogo, after a week of training at Granja Comary, the CBF concentration in Teresópolis. The Brazilian team beat the black and white team 7-0, with three goals from Flamengo athletes.

The week of training for the Brazilian under-20 team between June 3 and 8 was the beginning of the team's preparation for the South American Championship category, in January 2025, in Peru. This is because Ramon Menezes was unable to qualify Brazil for the Paris Olympics, which are now taking place in July and August.

In the game this past Saturday (8), Brazil had no difficulty in beating Botafogo under-20. The 7-0 victory was built on three goals from Flamengo players. Lorran scored twice and defender Iago scored the third. Both athletes plus Rayan Lucas have already returned to Mais Querido.

EXPECTATION FOR THE TITLE

With the absences of Arrascaeta and De La Cruz, as they are with the Uruguay team for the dispute of the Copa América, there is an expectation that Lorran will be a starter in Rubro-Negro's next match. This is because Ninho's son had already replaced the Uruguayans in previous games.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

So, with Lorran available, the Flamengo squad continues to prepare for the next clash, against Grêmio, in the eighth round of the Brasileirão. Mais Querido returns to the field next Thursday (13th), at 8pm, at Maracanã.
