The Under-17 Boys from the Nest return to the field this Thursday (19), at 3pm, to face Fluminense in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship. The match will be played in Gávea and will be broadcast live on SporTV.

Led by coach Eduardo Zuma, the red-black team arrives at the clash after winning four victories in the last five games. In the final round of the first phase, Mengão beat Corinthians 5-0, securing third place in group A, with 15 points. There were five wins in nine games and 19 goals scored, the second best attack in the group.

Midfielder Lucas Vieira highlighted the relevance of the result in the first match of the quarterfinals. "Important game. The second game of Garotos do Ninho will be on Thursday (02/11), at 10am, against Clube Atlético do Porto, and the last game of the group stage will be between Flamengo and Vitória, on Friday (03/11), also at same time as previous days.
