Current champion of the Brasil Ladies Cup, Flamengo already sees another competition on the women's football calendar. This Tuesday (14), Rubro Negro met their first opponents in the tournament, which will begin at the beginning of December. Therefore, it will be another title to be played for.

The Brasil Ladies Cup announced the eight women's football teams that will compete in the competition, which are divided into two groups. In the first phase, Rubro Negro will face Ferroviária, Santos and the Paraguayan National Team, a surprise for this edition, in Group B.

Group A will be formed by Internacional, São Paulo, Cruzeiro and Atlético Nacional, from Colombia. With the groups drawn, the competition starts on December 3rd, and runs until the 10th. All matches will be broadcast live throughout Brazil through SporTV,


According to the regulations, the teams from each group play against each other, in Santo André (SP), and only the leading teams advance to the grand final. The decision will be played in São Paulo, on December 10th, at the Canindé stadium.

DEFENDING THE TITLE

Flamengo participates in this edition with the mission of defending the title. Last year, Rubro Negro won its first Brasil Ladies Cup title. Under the command of Sole Jaimes and company, Mais Querido had a perfect campaign to lift the trophy. Meninas da Gávea went through Universidad de Chile, São Paulo and Ferroviária in the group stage, and beat Internacional in the final.

This Thursday (19), Flamengo hosts Peñarol (URU) at Maracanã, at 7pm (Brasília time), in a match valid for the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores da América. In search of a good advantage for the second leg, coach Tite will have to deal with several important absences in the red and black squad.

Peñarol coach, Diego Aguirre, defined the starting lineup for the match decisive. With no important absences, the Uruguayan team takes to the field with: Aguerre; Léo Coelho, Javier Méndez, Guzmán Rodríguez; Pedro Milans, Eduardo Darías, Damián García, Javier Cabrera, Léo Fernández, Maximiliano Olivera; and Maximiliano Silvera.


Aguirre will have almost his entire squad at his disposal. The only player out of the match is Damian Suarez, who has not yet had his name regularized after his recent arrival at the Uruguayan club. However, Suarez's absence is not a concern, as the coach has a complete squad for the clash against Mengão. b>


On the other hand, Mais Querido has to deal with six confirmed absences. Cebolinha, Pedro, Luiz Araújo, Gabigol, Michael and Viña are out of the match, all due to injuries. These absences complicate the formation of coach Tite, who will have to adjust the team to seek a good result playing at home.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

The Rubro-negra lineup follows:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

Flamengo ended its participation in the Brasil Ladies Cup with a 3-2 victory over the Paraguayan team, this Friday (8). Crivelari, Gisseli and Monalisa scored for Rubro-Negro at the Bruno José Daniel stadium, in Santo André-SP, in the third round of the competition. Mais Querido finished in second place in Group B, with seven points. The game

Meninas da Gávea started pressing at the beginning of the match and the The goal didn't take long to arrive. At nine minutes, Laysa received the ball deep on the right, crossed the ball and Crivelari, in the area, completed it into the net.


Fla continued with greater possession of the ball and presence in the attacking field. However, in the 28th minute, after a ball passed into the area, Camila Barbosa hit hard and equalized for the Paraguayans.

In the final minutes, Cris found Crivelari with a beautiful pass and the attacker finished dangerously from the baseline. . The first half ended with the score tied.


After the break, two minutes into the second half, the score was changed once again. Liz Peña received it, turned the ball around in the area and turned the game around for the Paraguayan team.
