A potential new Flamengo captain , Arrascaeta continues to be compared to other athletes and former players. Commentator Neto placed himself above the "Mais Querido" idol, highlighting that he is a better player than the number 10.

Neto places himself above the Flamengo idol: "Arrascaeta is a player with great technical quality, improvisation, but he didn't play more than me.

He continued: " I was very fast, I scored goals in every way. I played more than Arrascaeta ", said former player Neto, during a CazéTV program, this Tuesday (08).

NETO'S CAREER

Neto began his playing career with Guarani in 1983. Soon after, he transferred to Bangu, São Paulo, Palmeiras, and arrived at Corinthians in 1989. He remained with the São Paulo club until 1993, when he transferred to Millonarios (COL). He then played for several other teams, including Atlético-MG, Santos, Matsubara, Araçatuba, Osan, and Paulista.

ARRASCAETA'S CAREER

Arrascaeta joined Flamengo in 2019. This is how the Uruguayan became an idol for the club, joining the select group of players who have won the most titles with the Manto Sagrado. It's worth noting that the number 10 has won two Libertadores, two Brazilian Championships, and two Brazilian Cups with the club.
