On loan to Everton (ENG) since February, Carlos Alcaraz is experiencing a decisive moment in the final stretch of the Premier League season. The young Argentine's contract includes a mandatory purchase clause if the player meets a specific goal: to play for 45 minutes in at least eight games for the English team.

So, with six rounds remaining in the Premier League, Alcaraz still has a chance of reaching the required target. Should that occur, Everton will be obliged to buy him outright for €15m , with the possibility of a further €3m in bonuses, linked to additional targets set out in the contract with Flamengo .

GAMES IN WHICH ALCARAZ PLAYED FOR 45 MINUTES:

Crystal Palace 1x2 Everton

Brentford 1x1 Everton

Everton 1x1 West Ham

Liverpool 1-0 Everton

In these matches, the Argentine midfielder scored one goal and provided one assist. The match in question was against Crystal Palace, the team of former Flamengo player Matheus França.

FLAMENGO CAN RECOVER PART OF INVESTMENT

Flamengo invested around 20 million dollars to sign Carlos Alcaraz from Southampton, and sees the clause as a possibility of recovering part of the amount invested. Thus, the expectation is that the midfielder will be able to play the remaining five games as a starter to secure the permanent transfer.
