Conmebol made official this Wednesday (29) the complaint against Flamengo striker, Bruno Henrique. Camisa 27 was sent off for violent entry into walls, by Millonarios, in the 42nd minute of the second half. Initially, the referee applied a yellow card, but VAR recommended a review and a straight red was applied. BH was reported under article 14.1 of the Conmebol disciplinary code, which refers to a serious sudden entry.
Bruno Henrique has until next Wednesday, June 5th, at 2pm (Brasília time), to present your defense. Article 14.1 is the same one that denounced left-back Marcelo, from Fluminense, in 2023, after a tackle that caused a very serious injury to Luciano Sanchez, from Argentinos Juniors, in the round of 16 of the Libertadores. Tite took over Flamengo on October 9, 2023, after Jorge Sampaoli left. The former Brazilian national team coach signed a contract until the end of 2024, but his departure comes three months ahead of schedule. During his time in charge of Flamengo, Tite accumulated 70 matches, totaling 41 wins, 13 draws and 16 defeats. Under his management, the team scored 109 goals and conceded 50.
