0The Copa do Brasil gains even more excitement in May with the start of the third phase, which puts 32 teams face to face in search of a place in the round of 16. At this stage, 12 teams, including Flamengo, enter directly into the competition, promising even tougher games.
< Among these teams are the champions of Série B, Copa do Nordeste and Copa Verde, in addition to the winner and best-placed teams of Série A of the Brasileirão. The clashes in this stage of the tournament will be announced in a draw that does not yet have a date set.Unlike the previous stages, where a single clash defined the classification, from now on, the Copa Betano do Brasil will feature games back and forth, with the teams looking for the best aggregate campaign to advance. If the two games end in a draw, the place in the round of 16 will be decided on penalties.
The games in this edition of the Copa do Brasil will be broadcast on TV Globo, on open TV and on SporTV, on closed TV. Through pay-per-view, the games will be shown on Premiere and, in streaming, they can be followed on Prime Video.

0Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

0This Wednesday (17), the CBF announced the day that will be the draw for the field hosts for the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil. The event that will take place at the entity's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, will start at 2 pm, next Friday (20).
Still without the field command defined, the semi-final games of the Copa do Brasil are: Flamengo x Corinthians and Atlético-MG x Vasco. Remembering that the dates of the round-trip clashes are October 2nd and 17th.
It is worth remembering that Mais Querido defeated Bahia to qualify for the semi-finals, just as Corinthians got past Juventude. Vasco eliminated Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG beat São Paulo.
Before Flamengo worries about the semifinals of Copa do Brasil, Mais Querido will have another decision ahead. This is because, Rubro-Negro faces Peñarol this Thursday (19th) and on September 26th, in games valid for the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.
In this way, the red-black squad closes this Wednesday Monday (18) preparation for the clash against Peñarol. The game will be the first leg, at Maracanã, at 7pm, this Thursday (19). The match will be broadcast live throughout Brazil on ESPN.
