Flamengo beat Athletico-PR last Wednesday, 2-0, and won a place in the semifinal of the Copa do Brasil. Now, Rubro-Negro faces Grêmio in the next phase of the tournament, which is led by coach Renato Gaúcho. The coach even became a customer of the Rio de Janeiro team.
That's because coach Renato Gaúcho won only one match against Flamengo in the last ten head-to-head matches. Mais Querido, on the other hand, defeated the coach seven times, with two draws. The commander was even in charge of Grêmio in 2019, when the team from Rio Grande do Sul was thrashed 5-0 at Maracanã, in the Libertadores semifinal.
The match between Flamengo and Grêmio still has no set date, since Palmeiras and São Paulo, in addition to Corinthians and América-MG, will face each other in the Copa do Brasil. Thus, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) awaits the outcome of the tie to announce the days of the semifinals of the national tournament.

After deciding the1980 Brazilian Championship and the 2022 Super Cup, the two teams face each other in the very final of the 2024 edition of the Copa do Brasil.

The Flamengo squad has already arrived in Belo Horizonte for the match against Atlético-MG, valid for the return of the final of the Brazilian Cup. Before the delegation embarked for Minas Gerais this Saturday afternoon (9), Marcos Brazgave details of the football department's "caravan" for the competition.
“Everything is normal. I went to training in the morning, everything was fine. All possible players on the field, training, everyone together, everyone playing”, said Braz, while boarding at Galeão International Airport, in Rio de Janeiro. Afterwards, the football vice-president spoke about the rest of the Flamengo delegation.
“A We were careful to bring as many employees from the football department as possible to come too, to accompany us, even if, perhaps, everyone couldn't go to the stadium. We were concerned about having the best possible climate. I am absolutely sure that Flamengo will play a great game and, God willing, everything will be fine”, added Marcos Braz.
In addition to the employees who work behind the scenes, Mais Querido also took injured athletes from the cast. Thus, all players will be at Arena MRV to watch the final.

Upon arriving at the hotel where they will be staying, the Flamengo players were welcomed by the red and black fans with traditional chants of: “let's go, Flamengo“, “let's be champions” and “the fight will begin party.”
ALL THE CAST PRESENT IN BELO HORIZONTE
Flamengo decided that the entire cast would go to Belo Horizonte. Thus, even Pedro, Everton Cebolinha, Matías Viña and Nico De La Cruz, who are recovering from injury, embarked for the city of Minas Gerais.
