Flamengo could have a reinforcement for the game against Cruzeiro, this Sunday, in the Brazilian Championship: Bruno Henrique. The player took part in training with his teammates and has a chance of returning to the team. The striker's presence would be a relief for coach Jorge Sampaoli, who is facing several absences in the team. Expectations are high among fans to see the player in action again.

The striker is still a doubt. According to the UOL portal, Bruno Henrique did not fully participate in the activity this Friday (28). His physical condition will be assessed in the last training session before the match. The decision on his participation will be made in the next few days.

Bruno Henrique is recovering from an injury to his left foot. Tests ruled out a fracture, which was a relief for the club's medical department. Flamengo already expected to have him available throughout this week. His recovery is seen as crucial for the team's run in the championship.

Flamengo's certain absences are seven. Midfielder Igor Jesus and striker Everton Cebolinha are recovering from injuries to their left ankle and hip, respectively. In addition to them, Flamengo will not have the five players called up for the Copa América. The absence of these athletes further complicates coach Jorge Sampaoli's situation.

Flamengo still has one more training session before defining the team that will take the field. The game against Cruzeiro will be this Sunday (30), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, valid for the 13th round of the Brazilian Championship. Expectations are high, and fans are anxiously waiting to see how the team will behave on the field with possible returns and absences.

In an interview with the Trivela portal, Léo Ortiz, defender of Flamengo and son of former player Ortiz, opened up about a different experience on the field: playing as a midfielder. In a recent interview, the athlete told how this position is not completely foreign to him, as his first lessons in football were precisely in this role, during the time he played futsal.

"I think it was the first thing I learned in field, coming from futsal, it was this position as a midfielder. So that made me remember some things I learned back in my time at the base, playing in that position," said Léo Ortiz.

THE IMPROVISATION THAT WORKED

The player highlighted that the experience at futsal was fundamental to his technical and tactical development. Futsal, known for being a sport that requires quick thinking and skill with the ball at your feet, helped Léo improve his game. He mentioned that this futsal base made it easier to adapt when he needed to act as a midfielder, a position that requires good reading of the game and constant movement.

In addition, Léo Ortiz explained how he can take advantage of his defender skills when acting as steering wheel. "I can bring the defender part of the positioning, like covering the other midfielder and also building a little closer to the goalkeeper." This versatility is an asset to the player and his team, allowing him to play different roles depending on the team's needs.
