Players lead the ranking of great chances created
|
0Flamengo is focused on the winning streak in the next five rounds of the Brazilian Championship. To achieve this, Rubro Negro will be able to count on the talent of the duo Arrascaeta and Gerson, who lead the Brasileirão in the number of great chances created.
According to the Sofascore portal, Arrascaeta and Gerson created 11 goal chances each during the Brazilian Championship. Mais Querido's players are tied with Eduardo, from Botafogo, but are ahead in the rankings due to having played fewer games in the points tournament.
Arrascaeta leads the list with 11 chances created in just 23 Brazilian Championship matches. The Uruguayan star averages 0.47 per game. Gerson, who played most of his 27 games in a more offensive position, has a slightly lower average of 0.40.
The Rubro Negro duo also leads in actions with the ball in the offensive field, which explains the number of chances created. However, it is important to remember that the numbers do not mean plays that ended in goals, but rather plays with a high probability of the team scoring.
THE DOUBLE LEADS SHARE IN GOALS FOR FLAMENGOThe chances created by Gerson and Arrascaeta also results in a high number of direct participation in goals. In this edition of the Brazilian Championship, Rubro Negro's number 20 scored five goals, made seven assists and leads Flamengo with 12 appearances.
Arrascaeta scored in Mais Querido's last match, in the classic against Fluminense, and participated in Flamengo's 11th goal in the Brasileirão. In total, there are six goals and five assists from number 14 in the tournament, tied with Pedro. However, the midfielder played six fewer games than the number 9.

Bruno Henrique takes the lead in Flamengo's attack after injuries to teammates

0With several casualties in the offensive sector, Bruno Henrique, 33 years old, will be the main name in Flamengo's attack in the next matches. The striker, who stands out for his long-standing partnership with Arrascaeta, believes that this harmony will be fundamental for the team to maintain its good performance in the competitions it competes in, such as the Brazilian Championship, the Libertadores and the Copa do Brasil.
"We are the players at the front. Arrascaeta is a classic midfielder, who knows how to create plays and finish. Being close to him increases the chances of scoring and assisting. With his quality and the more than six years we have played together, we understand each other just by looking at each other", stated Bruno Henrique in an interview with ESPN.
Flamengo will no longer have Pedro and Everton Cebolinha until the end of the season. Furthermore, Michael and Luiz Araújo are only expected to return to the pitch in the final stretch of 2024. Gabigol, who also faces physical problems, has been used less frequently. With this series of absences, the leading role falls to Bruno Henrique, who has the mission of leading the red and black attack at a decisive moment of the season.
To make up the offensive sector, Mais Querido also has newcomers Gonzalo Plata and Carlinhos, as well as young promises from the club's youth categories. Despite the losses, the expectation is that Bruno Henrique's experience and quality will be enough to keep the team competitive in competitions.
