Flamengo and Corinthians are preparing for a crucial clash this Saturday, the 7th, in São Paulo, marking the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. According to Gui Xavier (Trivela), this game gains even more prominence for being the second under the command of Mário Jorge, who took over the Rio team after the departure of Jorge Sampaoli, and there is much speculation that it will be his last before the arrival of renowned coach Tite.

The atmosphere at Flamengo has improved considerably since the arrival of Mário Jorge as interim coach, and the team is gradually achieving the objective mentioned in its press conference after the match against Bahia . Mário Jorge has repeatedly emphasized the feeling of regaining confidence during his period as Flamengo's interim coach. He has worked tirelessly to rebuild the team's morale, holding individual conversations with the players and integrating the coaching staff with the youth teams.

Now, the outlook is even more positive, with the possibility of counting on the team's maximum strength to face Corinthians. In the match against Bahia, Mário Jorge had already faced some casualties, with three players out due to injuries: Arrascaeta, Varela and Allan. However, the rest week provided a remarkable recovery for two of these Uruguayan players.

Varela, who had suffered a knee ligament injury in August, trained with the group throughout the week and is ready to join on the field again. His meticulous and careful recovery has resulted in him returning to full fitness, and he is eager to be selected for the game against Corinthians. Uncertainty hovers, however, over the participation of Arrascaeta, the team's number 14. Although his situation is considered a doubt, there is a feeling of confidence in his return.

It is worth mentioning that Arrascaeta was left out of the game against Bahia by choice of Flamengo's medical department. He made a Herculean effort to play in the Copa do Brasil final against São Paulo, even though he was not in his best physical condition. After this decision, he opted for an additional period of recovery, starting the transition this Wednesday, the 4th. The decision on his inclusion in the team will depend on the last training activity before the trip to São Paulo.

In the midst of all these considerations, the clash between Flamengo and Corinthians promises to be an exciting battle, with Mário Jorge trying to consolidate his success as interim coach and the red and black fans eagerly awaiting the return of Arrascaeta to further strengthen the team. The rivalry between these two giants of Brazilian football adds an extra element of drama to this clash, which will certainly be watched by fans across the country. We just have to wait and see how this story will unfold on the stadium lawn in São Paulo.

In a post on Instagram, the mayor informed that the city hall will be responsible for removing the megastructure on the gas meter site, different from what was reported. Furthermore, he guaranteed that Flamengo will have its new stadium, with the best conditions and security.

The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

According to the article, the companies were informed that Flamengo is the responsible for bearing the expenses, as provided for in one of the annexes to the land purchase and transfer contract. The clause, however, does not have a specified limit.

Paes stated that the values for the transfer of the structure are different from what was pointed out in the article by Ancelmo Gois. Furthermore, it exempted Flamengo from any responsibility, and that the city hall has been planning to remove it for years.

“They are making me defend @flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the The cost of this transfer and when it happens will be the responsibility of the city of Rio, which knows that this structure cannot be in an area that is already receiving so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in the gasometer with all the quality and safety that the region demands and deserves. Period!”, published the mayor.
