TITE TALKS ABOUT DE LA CRUZ AND GERSO

After Mais Querido's victory, the coach was asked about De La Cruz and his 'new position' with the absence of midfielder Gerson. In the coach's view, the return of number 20 will be important for the squad but he left the dispute open.

- I don’t think anything (laughs). The field, the ball that speaks. I want to have Gerson back, yes. All athletes, Wesley, Gabi, have all the power so that we can develop our best.

César (Sampaio): "We already knew about Nico's versatility. These are good problems. Gerson is our captain, has a presence in this whole. These are good solutions we have in this arduous calendar. We are understanding the athlete. It's not just from there to here, it's from us to him.

Still without Gerson, the team will face the 4th placed team in the Guanabara Cup in the semi-final. The table will only be defined after the round closes this Sunday. Fluminense, Nova Iguaçu, Vasco and Botafogo could finish in this position.
