The Flamengo is facing a delicate moment in relation to its medical department, with five important players treating injuries. The situation has generated concern within the club, which needs to find solutions for the absence of these athletes in decisive matches on the calendar. Currently, the players under the care of the medical department are: De La Cruz, Michael, Pedro, Viña and Everton Cebolinha. The nature of the injuries varies between muscle problems and more serious injuries, such as the Achilles tendon.
De La Cruz: The Uruguayan midfielder is sidelined due to a thigh injury. There is still no exact timetable for his return, but the athlete is in intensive treatment to try to return as quickly as possible. His absence has a direct impact on the creation of plays and the dynamics of the midfield, as De La Cruz is one of the team's main articulators.
Michael: The striker, who recently returned to Flamengo, also suffered a thigh injury. Like De La Cruz, Michael is undergoing treatment and his return to the field depends on his physical evolution. Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Red-and-black striker is the target of speculation in the transfer market

This Monday (16), rumors emerged involving Bahia's interest in signing Gabigol, striker from Mais Querido. According to the channel Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, Tricolor de Aço would have entered the dispute for Gabigol, who has a contract with Flamengojust until December this year. In addition to Bahia, clubs such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Santos would also be keeping an eye on the player.
Despite the speculation, the Bahia board was quick to deny any ongoing negotiations to count on the shirt 99 from Mengão. According to the club's leadership, there is no intention of repeating an operation similar to that carried out with Everton Ribeiro.
As soon as news of the supposed interest began to circulate, Bahia tried to clarify the situation. In a statement, the club's senior management stated that there are no negotiations to sign Gabigol for next season. The information of possible interest, therefore, was directly denied by Tricolor's directors.

With Bahia's denial, Corinthians remains the main favorite to sign Gabigol from next year. The possibility of the red-black striker wearing the Timão shirt gains strength, especially after coach Tite appointed Gabigol as the third option for Mengão's attacking command, behind Pedro and Bruno Henrique.
