In the last five years and five months, Flamengo has reaped the rewards of management that has proven to be effective in several areas of the club. There are 12 titles in professional football, including two Libertadores, and the definitive conquest of Maracanã. Furthermore, there were records in Olympic sports and rowing, as well as growth in revenue and a significant reduction in the club's debts.

The headquarters was completely renovated, and the CT received important investments, with new land and improvements to the structure. However, one of the most significant works of this administration, and less visible to the eyes of fans, was carried out in the youth football divisions.

FLAMENGO DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB IN ITS STRUCTURE < /p>

The work carried out in the base divisions of Flamengo is one of the most important points of the current management. Investing in the training of new talents guarantees a promising future for the club. In recent years, Flamengo has dedicated itself to creating a solid foundation, with a structure that provides young athletes with all the necessary conditions to fully develop.

The structure of Flamengo's youth divisions has been completely reformulated. New land was acquired and there was continuous improvement in facilities. Completing the professional module was an important step, ensuring that young athletes have access to state-of-the-art facilities. These improvements are not just limited to the field, but also include areas for living and studying, promoting the integral development of young people.

The young right-back Wesley, from Flamengo, is in the sights of European clubs who see great potential in the player. According to information from journalist Julio Miguel Neto, several teams from the old continent are interested in a loan from Wesley, with the option to purchase at the end of the contract.

These European clubs are keeping an eye on the young man's talent athlete and believe he could adapt quickly to European football. However, Flamengo has no plans to release Wesley at this time. The absence of Varela, who will be away due to the Copa América dispute, makes Wesley's presence even more crucial for the Rio team.

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW JOB FOR WESLEY

The stance from Flamengo is clear: Wesley will only leave the club if a purchase proposal appears that he cannot refuse. Until that happens, the right-back will continue defending the red and black colors.

The Flamengo coach plans to give Wesley more opportunities in the next games. This means the player will have more time on the field and will be able to show his full potential. The expectation is that he will increasingly establish himself as an important piece in the starting team.

In this Thursday's match (13) against Grêmio, Flamengo will have a bench full of young talents. The decision, in line with coach Tite's strategy, aims to harness and develop the potential of the club's youth players. Among the new additions are Dyogo Alves, a 20-year-old goalkeeper, and defenders Iago and Carbone, both 19 years old. In addition to them, midfielder Rayan Lucas, also 19 years old, and striker Werton, 20 years old, complete the list of young promises. Everton Araújo, a 21-year-old midfielder, had already been mentioned by Tite and remains on the squad list.

This renewal in the squad reflects a growing trend in Brazilian football: the focus on emerging talents who could become protagonists in the future. Flamengo, known for its strong base, has reaped rewards by integrating these young athletes into the main team. The game against Grêmio will be an important opportunity for these players to show their value and gain experience on the field.

FLAMENGO GIVES YOUNG PEOPLE OPPORTUNITIES

Historically, Flamengohas always had a strong base, with players who often stand out on the national and international scene. The inclusion of young people like Dyogo Alves, Iago, Carbone, Rayan Lucas and Werton in the list of players listed for the match is a clear indication of the confidence that the club places in its base.

Dyogo Alves, for example, is a promising 20-year-old goalkeeper who has been closely watched by the coaching staff. Iago and Carbone, both 19-year-old defenders, have demonstrated consistency and potential at youth level. Rayan Lucas, a 19-year-old midfielder, and Werton, a 20-year-old striker, also stand out for their skill and ability to contribute offensively.

Multi-time champion for Flamengo and now Under-20 coach, Filipe Luís has actively participated in internal activities at Rubro-Negro and intensified his contact with young people from all of the club's youth categories. This time, Fili's way of exchanging experience with the players was through a talk held at Ninho do Urubu.

Flamengo's Human Development Department organized the event, and Filipe Luís' talk was divided into three blocks, in order to make exchanging experiences fun for younger people.

The first block was called “te stalkeei”. Moments from Filipinho's personal life were shared, so that he could detail his tastes and hobbies, in order to create the image of an “untouchable idol”. In the second stage, called “review with Filipe Luís”, a kind of press conference was held, where the U12 players themselves prepared questions for the star.

In the third stage, Filipe Luís participated in the famous “toque e sai”, a discussion to answer questions objectively and share important facts about life and career with younger people. At the end of the talk, Filipinho spoke about exchanging experiences with the boys.

“It was, it was (the most unfiltered press conference he's ever participated in), but I didn't run away from any questions, I faced them all. The boys asked interesting questions and this exchange is really cool. I hope it happens more often, with coaches and players, because they need that contact. It's always important for them to listen, not everyone will listen in the same way, but it will definitely get into some people's heads and help in some difficult times. It is important to have this exchange within the club, not only with players, but also between coaches. Each time we have these closer relationships and that's really cool”, said the under-20 coach.

João Isaac, Mengão's under-12 midfielder, revealed that he was really looking forward to the event . “It was really cool to talk to a player who played in Europe and played in the World Cup. It was very exciting, I was really excited.” João Bertozi, who is a left-back, also spoke about the feeling of participating in Filipe Luís' talk.

“I was happy to be there face to face with him, I'm also a left-back and I really admire he. What I liked most was when he talked about his family. This reminds me a lot of him, my family, my brother who are in my city, Londrina-PR. I miss them a lot, but you have to work, make a sacrifice for them. He’s a great playmaker, he dribbles, cuts to the middle, shoots, he’s very good”, said Bertozi.
