In a press conference this past Sunday (18), Marcos Braz, the club's vice-president of football, claimed that negotiations are advanced and that it is difficult to retain the full-back amid the values proposed by the Italian team.
"Even considering the size of the figures, the negotiation for Wesley is very advanced. I'll say it again: after he signs it, we can confirm it. But it's a sale, if it happens along the lines that are being designed, it's very important for the Flamengo, and it is impossible to hold the player given the numbers that are being proposed to him", declared Braz.
SALE OF WESLEYAccording to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, Mais Querido closed the sale of Wesley to Atalanta. The player can even fly to Italy directly from Bolivia, saying goodbye to the squad on Bolivian soil. The logistics are already being set up so that the athlete arrives as soon as possible.
In total, Flamengo will receive 20 million euros (R$ 120.5 million) divided into installments. This is because there are 16 million euros (R$96.4 million): 6 million euros upfront (up to five days after signing the contract) fixed + 4 million euros (R$24.1 million) until October 30 from 2024 + 6 million euros until August 31, 2026.
The 4 million euros bonus will be with the following goals:

1 million euros when Wesley wins any title for Atalanta
