Commentator Dodô, known as the "scorer of beautiful goals", was full of praise for Zico, the greatest idol in Flamengo's history, during an interview with comedian Rudy Landucci, on his YouTube channel. Dodô revealed that Gávea's eternal number 10 has always been his reference since childhood, and this admiration increased even more after meeting him in person.

“My biggest inspiration as a boy, a guy who caught my attention the most It was Zico. I looked at Zico and thought he was spectacular. And I still think so because later I met Zico, his family, and he is an amazing guy, an example. A reference not only on the field, but off it as well. A person who serves everyone well”, said Dodô.

Even though he played for Flamengo's three great rivals in Rio de Janeiro (Botafogo, Fluminense and Vasco), Dodô highlighted the respect that Zico receives from all fans, regardless of rivalries.

“Zico transcends the club. Despite the history with Flamengo, he is admired by Brazilians as a whole. He played like hell”, said the former striker.

The commentator was asked about a comparison between Zico and Maradona and replied: "Comparisons are complicated, but he is on the same shelf as Maradona. Zico is the complete package, but Maradona was also an ace".

Dodô claims that Tite is the best coach in Brazil

In addition to talking about Zico, Dodô also commented on the level of coaches in Brazilian football. He highlighted Tite, Flamengo's current coach, as the best in the country. The commentator praised Rubro-Negro's performance in August and, despite the physical problems faced by the team, believes that Flamengo's squad is the most complete in Brazilian football.

“He is the best coach that we have it here. The charge is always a little extra. All this has to be taken into consideration and you can play better”, he concluded.
