This Thursday morning (29), Flamengo's young athletes, the Garotos do Ninho, got off to a great start in the Copa Olaria Renovado. Flamengo's under-16 team faced Olaria at the Rua Bariri Stadium and emerged victorious, with a score of 4-0 in their favor. Leonardo, the rival team's goalkeeper, did very well in the game and avoided an even more elastic score for Rubro-Negro.
In the first half, Flamengo opened the scoring early. Coach Eduardo Zuma complained about the few attacks and asked for greater speed in the transition. The team obeyed and exchanged quick passes, until Rafinha gave a beautiful assist for Ryan Pablo to open the scoring in the eighth minute. The team failed to expand in the first stage and goalkeeper Leonardo performed some miracles. At halftime, Ryan, who scored the goal, gave an interview to Fla TV.
“We came from a very good preparation. Zuma has been doing a lot of work with us. We managed to finish several balls, but unfortunately the goalkeeper caught them all. I scored a goal and I want to dedicate it to Jeffinho, my brother who is in bad shape, he was injured. Tell him who is watching, I love you, brother. We are together”, says Ryan Pablo, remembering his teammate who has a problem with his patella, having his leg immobilized and needing to be away from the field for seven months.
In the second half, Just Gabriel Amanacio and Eduardo Camillo remained on the field, in addition to goalkeeper Dudu. Zuma changed the rest of the team, and number 15, Daniel, needed two minutes to score Mengão's second. The defender is tall and didn't need to climb much to beat his opponents and score with a header. The third came out with Davi Waisman. Shirt 7 received a spectacular pass from Fábio Henrique and took the touch to beat goalkeeper Leonardo and see the ball die softly, in the back of Olaria's net. There was time left for João to receive in depth, come face to face with the rival archer and hit the angle, sealing the 4-0 victory.
In addition to Olaria, Serrano and Botafogo are also in Flamengo's group. In the other bracket, Vasco, Fluminense, Cabofriense and Volta Redonda complete the clubs competing for the Copa Olaria cup. Crias do Ninho's next match is on March 5th (Tuesday) against Serrano. The game starts at 10:00 am (Brasília time).
