Flamengo is preparing for coach Tite's presentation to the press this Monday (16) at Ninho do Urubu. At the same time, in the same location, the red and black squad is scheduled to perform again at 2:30 pm (Brasília time), coinciding with the new coach's press conference.
According to the investigation by the Coluna do Fla reporting team , Tite's press conference does not impact the Flamengo squad's training schedule. This is due to the fact that the red and black players carry out some activities in the gym before starting training under the guidance of the coach.
Tite's arrival has as its main focus the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship, with the aim of classify Flamengo for the Copa Libertadores da América in 2024. It is worth noting that there are only 12 games left until the end of the Brasileirão, and at the moment, Flamengo is in fifth place in the table, with 44 points.
With the name already regularized in the Daily Newsletter (BID) of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Tite is ready to make his debut as coach of Flamengo. His first challenge at the head of the red and black team is scheduled for Thursday, the 19th, when Flamengo faces Cruzeiro.
Tite has the mission of rebuilding Flamengo in 2023, but with an eye on season 2024. For Tulio Rodrigues, the work carried out by the coach this year could give a sample of how the former Brazilian team intends to set up Rubro-Negro for 2024.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
