0The Flamengo Artistic Gymnastics women's team won the third championship this Sunday (20). The athletes dominated in three of the four devices of the competition and Jade Barbosa was the gold medalist in the general individual classification. Rebeca Andrade also caught everyone's attention.
The Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship took place this weekend in Bahia. Since Friday (18), gymnasts from all over the country have gathered at the Lauro Freitas Arena to compete in different modalities and on various devices. Among the men, Red-Black Diogo Soares won first place on the pommel horse. However, it was the best women who brought the big prizes.
The performance of Flávia Saraiva, Rebeca Andrade, Jade Barbosa and Lorrane Oliveira started phenomenally in the first stage of the competition on Friday (18). The scores of the flamenguistas were already among the best, however the final results were not known until the second presentations, which took place this Sunday.
Jade Barbosa was the highlight, having won first place in the general individual competition. This means that, adding all the athlete's score over the two days, on the four different devices, she accumulated more points, more specifically 105,567 points. And the third place was also red-black, with the representation of Lorrane. Jade had the highest score on the floor too, just like on Friday. performing to 'Cell Block Tango' from the classic musical, 'Chicago'.On the parallels and beam, the big name was Rebeca Andrade. The Olympic medalist did not perform on the ground, which automatically removed her from the individual general competition. However, she still performed for the other devices, where she had the best grades of the day on two of them. On uneven bars (parallel) she scored 30,067, followed by Lorrane Oliveira and Jade Barbosa, closing a completely black and red podium. Already on the beam, the second place next to her went to Flavinha Saraiva, who, similarly, did not participate in the ground.
At the end of the competition, the third championship was in the hands of Mengão. With great athletes and only 'failing' in the jump, where, even so, Rebeca Andrade's presentation drew great attention with an incredible rating of 14,633.

0This last Thursday (4), Meninas da Gávea faced São Paulo, in the quarter-finals of the under-20 Brasileirão. However, Flamengo ended up being defeated by a score of 1-0. Thus, Mais Querido will need a two-goal difference to be able to advance to the next phase.

Eduardo Paes took a position on the matter shortly after the Mundo Rubro-Negro portal publish that Victor Travancas is moving to try to cancel the expropriation of the land. The state undersecretary believes that there are irregularities in the City Hall's movement to facilitate the construction of the Dearest on site.

FLAMENGO'S POSITIONDespite Victor's discontent and the statement by Eduardo Paes, the Flamengohas not yet commented on the case. It is possible that the auction for the Gasometer land will take place in the coming months.

0The countdown to the 2024 Paris Olympics continues at full steam and with 30 days to go until the start of the games, Team Brazil has a strong squad to compete in the competition. With 56 medalists in Olympic and World Games, 24% of the athletes who will represent Brazil have already won important awards in their sports.
“Our delegation will be formed with a mix of renowned names, Olympic or world champions , and young athletes with great potential. Having references in the modalities brings extra strength to the team, which feels more motivated to achieve significant results and break records. I am sure that our athletes will have a great campaign in Paris 2024”, stated the head of mission of the Brazilian delegation Rogério Sampaio.
In total, Brazil has already secured 259 places for the competition. There will be 237 athletes in the Brazilian delegation going to Paris so far, with 137 women and 93 men confirmed. In equestrian, 7 mixed places are still to be defined.
The numbers, which already demonstrate the strength of Team Brazil for the Paris Games, can still grow. The qualification window for the Olympics only closes in the first week of July and the tendency is for medalists from renowned Brazilian sports, such as handball and volleyball, to still join the delegation.
