After a sporting event in Portugal, Vitor Pereira, former Flamengo coach, gave an interview in which he demonstrated that he had bad memories of his time at Rubro-Negro. Furthermore, the Portuguese reinforced his dissatisfaction with working in Brazilian football in general. In this context, Rodrigo, former Flamengo defender, was direct in revealing Vítor Pereira's arrogance and the difficulty of getting along with the coach.
In addition to Flamengo, the former player revealed that athletes from other clubs they also don't have good memories with the coach: "I have friends there who play (at the club). He's a totally arrogant guy, a difficult guy to get along with, who was always right. It's not just there in the interview, it's also on the day day. I also have friends at Corinthians, as well as Sheik, who said it was difficult to get along with Vítor Pereira", he said, during the 'Domingol' program.
In March 2022, Vítor Pereira debuted in Brazilian football for Corinthians. In January of the following year, the Portuguese joined Flamengo, where he remained for a short time. In April, the coach was fired after failing to win any title at Mais Querido. Since then, Vítor Pereira has remained without a club, having not managed a team for five months.
During an interview after a football discussion in Porto, Portugal , Vítor Pereira complained about the 'lack of education' in Brazil: "What I liked least was the lack of education. A lot of lack of education. A lot of lack of education... I'm not pointing out specifically, but a lack of general education", he pointed out . “You have to have the stomach”, he declared.
"It's not about the press specifically, it's about football itself. Everything that involves football. It goes a little over the limit , the emotion goes a little beyond the limit, and they say things that we, here, are not yet prepared for. It can be normal there. I've already realized that it's a bit cultural. For us, it's a bit difficult", he continued. "It's not just in one club. It's in Brazil. The projects in Brazil are until the next victory, and even after the victory, everything can go wrong. In Brazil, there's a lot of emotion. You have to go there to see the difficulty, the context", he stated.
"We think we are prepared even though we are training Porto, Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, but Brazil manages to be, from an emotional point of view, lack of rationality, of time to work, of believing in what you are doing", he said. "In Brazil, either there are immediate results, or the project is over", he concluded. Finally, the coach commented on whether he still follows Brazilian football: "I usually watch good football. I don't waste much time with... I'm very selective today in the football I watch. I'm not saying that I don't watch Brazilian football. But I only see what really interests me today", he declared.
Without Vítor Pereira, Mengão is preparing for its next commitment. Flamengo and Athletico-PR face each other next Wednesday (13) in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship. The dispute takes place at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Kleber Andrade Stadium. Currently, Mais Querido occupies fourth place in the Brazilian Championship. The club's objective is to overcome the 12-point difference between Rubro-Negro and Botafogo, the current leader of the competition.
Just 45 days after leaving Flamengo and arriving at Zenit, Gerson has attracted interest from Arab football, but the athlete's father and agent deny a direct offer.

Journalist Julio Miguel Neto reported that he spoke with Marcão, the player's father and representative. According to him, there has been no official contact so far from the athlete, who left Mais Querido to play for the Russian team.
" If anything came up, it was from club to club. I haven't been officially notified by anyone yet. I haven't offered him to any club ," the businessman declared.

Flamengo returns to the field this Sunday (31) to face Grêmio , in a match valid for the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship. The duel takes place at Maracanã, at 4 pm (Brasília time), and marks another challenge for the team led by Filipe Luís, who leads the competition with 46 points.
For the match, the coach confirmed the entry of De La Cruz in midfield, filling in for the injured Jorginho. Flamengo will therefore field the following players: Rossi; Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, and Ayrton Lucas; De La Cruz, Saúl, and Arrascaeta; Gonzalo Plata, Samuel Lino, and Pedro.
Mengão will be without three players. Erick Pulgar is still recovering from foot surgery, while Alex Sandro is nursing a calf injury.
