In yet another edition of “Nação no Maraca”, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, represented by its Social Responsibility department, took 700 people to the stadium last Saturday (30). On the field, 1-0 victory over Bahia; in the stands, ten social projects, in addition to outsourced club employees covered by the action. Among the projects selected to watch the game at Maracanã, 50 tickets were allocated to “Marque esse gol”, an initiative that seeks to prevent breast cancer and welcome patients not only during Pink October, but throughout the year. In addition to their presence at the game, the group took a tour before the match and entered the field with a banner about the theme, opening the awareness month.

“Being at Maracanã is always a moment of great joy , but knowing that we are there to bring awareness about breast cancer to so many people and to be received by the fans with so much love is something inexplicable. Thank you, Flamengo, for the usual welcome”, said Nátali de Araújo, creator of the Marque esse Gol project.


The latest “Nação no Maraca” also included institutions such as Rio Em Forma, Mães da Gávea, Sim , Eu Sou do Meio, Ourinhos do Cruzeiro, Espaço Nova Geração, Associação Menina Mulher da Mangueira - Atelier das Palavras, Instituto Semper em Movimento, Espaço Recriando, Municipal Secretariat for People with Disabilities of Búzios and the Child and Youth Reception Unit Bem- To live.


“Nação no Maraca has been changing our life story. My eternal gratitude to Flamengo, for having the opportunity to take children who have never been to Maracanã”, commented Leonardo, from Ourinhos do Cruzeiro. Isabelle, mother of Miguel and Jorge, aged 5, from the Sou Mais Ser do Bem project, also thanked the club. “Thank you for making the mother and children’s dream come true for the first time at Maracanã”, she said, as did Ana, from Espaço Recriando. “I would like to thank Flamengo for providing this historic moment in the lives of each student. For many of them, it was the first time they stepped foot in Maracanã and we were hot on our feet,” he said.

The “Nação no Maraca”, which is part of Flamengo’s Social Inclusion Agenda, has already distributed more than 6,350 tickets for groups such as students from public schools, social projects, indigenous peoples, refugees and people living on the streets. Last year alone, 114 institutions were served by the club's initiative.
