DURING THE FIFA DATE, TITE WILL HAVE 3 ABSENCES FOR FLAMENGO TRAINING

The Flamengo squad will perform again at CT Ninho do Urubu next Tuesday (14) after a day off on Sunday (12) and this Monday (13). However, Rubro Negro will have three absences in the preparation period during the break for the FIFA Date.

This is due to the fact that Mais Querido had three players called up for the two rounds of the World Cup Qualifiers 2026. These are Varela, Arrascaeta and Erick Pulgar, who performed for their respective teams, Chile and Uruguay.

RUBRO NEGRO ATHLETES REPORT TO THE SELECTIONS

Midfielder Erick Pulgar presented himself to the Chilean national team last Sunday (12). Meanwhile, on the same day, Varela and Arrascaeta already joined the Uruguayan National Team squad. The expectation is that Mais Querido players will play in the next Data FIFA matches. For the Brazilian National Team, not one Rubro Negro player was called up by Fernando Diniz.

URUGUAY GAMES


Varela and Arrascaeta's first matches for the Uruguayan National Team it will be next Thursday (16), against Argentina. The confrontation takes place from 9pm. After that, Uruguay will face Bolivia, on November 21st, at 8:30 pm, the duel will be broadcast throughout Brazil.

CHILE GAMES

Midfielder Erick Pulgar's first match for the Chilean national team will also be next Thursday (16), against Paraguay. The confrontation will start at 9:30 pm. Later, Chile will face Ecuador, on November 21st, at 8:30 pm, and the duel will also be broadcast throughout Brazil.

FLAMENGO'S PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

While the respective players are serving their national teams, the rest of the Rubro Negro squad will have 11 days of training. Coach Tite will alternate these days between rest and training during the FIFA Date. Flamengo's focus is on the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship. The next match for the national competition will be on November 23rd, against Red Bull Bragantino.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.



Following is the Red and Black lineup:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
