Flamengo has already started planning for the next signings in the transfer window at the beginning of the year. Rubro Negro aims to reinforce itself in the most needy positions and is also preparing for a possible departure of starting players, as is the case of Fabrício Bruno.

The defender who is valued in the market has the desire to leave Flamengo next window. In September, Rubro Negro decided to open talks with the defender's agents to bring forward the contract renewal. However, Fabrício has plans to play in Europe and has stopped negotiations with Mais Querido's directors.

According to journalist Venê Casagrande, Flamengo approached the player's staff to propose a salary increase to the defender and extend the contract. The offer provided for 20% more salary. However, Fabrício refused the proposal because he believed it would close the doors to European clubs and would indicate that he would like to remain in Brazil for a long time.

According to journalist Fred Gomes, Fabrício Bruno's advisor informed that the defender does not want to leave Flamengo, however, they did not deny the possibility of the athlete playing outside Brazil in 2024. It is worth remembering that the player has a contract with Mais Querido until the end of 2025.

With his good performances with the Sacred Mantle, Fabrício has been highly valued, however, so far Flamengo has not received any proposal for the defender. The defender has more than 50 games with Mais Querido, has 3 goals and two assists. Fabrício became an absolute starter and coach Tite's trusted man.

Last Tuesday, the candidate for re-election for mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, denied the journalist Ancelmo Gois, from Globo. In a post on Instagram, the mayor informed that the city hall will be responsible for removing the megastructure on the gas meter site, different from what was reported. Furthermore, he guaranteed that Flamengo will have its new stadium, with the best conditions and security.

The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

According to the article, the companies were informed that Flamengo is the responsible for bearing the expenses, as provided for in one of the annexes to the land purchase and transfer contract. The clause, however, does not have a specified limit.

Eduardo Paes guarantees that the removal is the responsibility of Rio's city hall.

Paes stated that the values for the transfer of the structure are different from what was pointed out in the article by Ancelmo Gois. Furthermore, it exempted Flamengo from any responsibility, and that the city hall has been planning to remove it for years.

“They are making me defend @flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the The cost of this transfer and when it happens will be the responsibility of the city of Rio, which knows that this structure cannot be in an area that is already receiving so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in the gasometer with all the quality and safety that the region demands and deserves. Period!”, published the mayor.

In recent years, the Flamengohas faced constant challenges in defense, and one of the most discussed topics among fans is the performance of their defenders. Among the names that generate the most debate, Léo Pereira is one that divides opinions. Although he is a player of recognized quality, there is a constant feeling of uncertainty about his performance, even when he shows glimpses of his potential.

Léo Pereira, signed with great expectations in 2020, has already shown at times that can be a good defender. However, a considerable portion of the fans question the trust that can be placed in him. Despite his qualities, he makes mistakes that bring back memories of his more irregular performances in the past. This creates difficulty in fully trusting his work, especially in decisive games.

THE DEFENDER EXPERIENCES UP AND DOWN

The main criticism of the defender Léo Pereira is in its lack of consistency. In some games, he is able to stand out positively, displaying good reading of the game, correct anticipations and even participating in offensive plays, such as headers on corners. However, there are times when he makes mistakes that put the team in dangerous situations, as the fan mentioned in the tweet, referring to the difficulty in trusting the player 100%.

This type of performance fluctuation ends becoming frustrating for those who follow the team closely. Fans expect a defensive player to always be safe and regular, especially when it comes to a club like Flamengo, which frequently competes for important titles. However, when a defender alternates between solid performances and moments of inattention, this puts the team's defensive strength at risk.
