In front of more than 55 thousand fans, Flamengoand Palmeiras drew 1-1 in the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship, held at Maracanã. Despite not being able to retake the lead in the table, Flamengo's coach, Tite, expressed satisfaction with the team's performance.
In a press conference after the match, Tite commented on the team's performance: "There is moments when you are better, and effectiveness may have made the difference. To draw a parallel with the Olympics, only those who win a medal are valuable. Only those who win are recognized.", said the coach before completing.
"Performance, for me, is important. Athletes know that performance counts, and today the performance was for victory. We deserved to win, especially with Weverton making two decisive saves. I'm upset and not sleeping well , but I need to evaluate both the performance and the result." The coach also highlighted the need to improve the team's effectiveness and rebounding.
GAME MARKED BY GOALS AND CREATIVITY
The Flamengoopened the scoring in the 24th minute of the second half with a goal from Arrascaeta, after a move by Gerson on the left. However, Palmeiras managed to tie the match in the 41st minute with a goal from Luighi, leaving the final score at 1-1.
CLASSIFICATION AFTER THE DRAW
With the draw , Flamengo reached 41 points and maintained second place in the Brazilian Championship, overtaking Botafogo. In turn, Palmeiras, with 38 points, remained in 4th place. The result marks an intense and competitive confrontation between the two teams.

Léo Ortiz has demonstrated his admiration for American football whenever he can. Taking advantage of Flamengo's pre-season in the United States, the defender showed his ability with the oval ball. This past Tuesday (14), the athlete 'became' an NFL player during an activity held at the Florida Gators (USA) field.
Through social media, Flamengo shared the meeting between Léo Ortiz and Gerson with Jeremy Crawshaw and LAG, athletes from Florida Gators. After exchanging gifts between the players, the Mais Querido defender made shots with his hand, showing a lot of intimacy with the sport.
