EVERTON CEBOLINHA UNDERGOES PRIVATE TREATMENT TO ACCELERATE RECOVERY AFTER FLAMENGO GAME

Flamengo almost left Maracanã with the victory over Vasco. Léo Jardim and the post saved Cruzmaltino this Sunday (15), in the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. The classic ended in a 1-1 draw and, although Rubro-Negro did not win the three points, they maintained their taboo against their rival.

Flamengo has not lost to Vasco in seven games, adding up the competitions of the Brazilian and Carioca Championships. In total, Rubro-Negro won five times, while the other two clashes ended in draws. In other words, the taboo in favor of Mais Querido remains intact.

Flamengo's most significant victory took place this season, at first round of the Brasileirão. On that occasion, Rubro-Negro beat Vasco 6-1, marking the biggest defeat in the history of the classic in the 21st century. Vasco fans even left the stadium before the end of the match.

This time, there was no rout from Flamengo, thanks to Léo Jardim's miraculous saves and balls hitting the post from Bruno Henrique and Léo Ortiz. Mais Querido opened the scoring at Maracanã, but Cruzmaltino equalized in the 43rd minute of the second half. As a result, both teams left the field with one point each.

Now, Flamengo turns its attention to the duel against Peñarol (URU), on Thursday (19), in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals. The game is scheduled for 7pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.

The Flamengo is focused on the Libertadores decision, against Peñarol, but is also eyeing the clash against Grêmio, on September 22nd, in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. This is because the team from Rio Grande do Sul will not be able to count on defender Jemerson, who will be suspended after receiving his third yellow card.

The defender was involved in an argument with the Bragantino player and was punished with a yellow card by the referee. Bruno Arleu de Araújo in the final minutes of this Sunday's match (15). Furthermore, Jemerson left the field feeling pain, in addition to the automatic suspension.

The other two cards that Jemerson received in the Brasileirão were when he was playing for Atlético-MG. The first was in the game against Corinthians, in the first round, then he was punished again against Fluminense, in the fifth round.

So, Jemerson joins Grêmio's long list of absences for the game against Flamengo. This is because the team from Rio Grande do Sul will not be able to count on André Henrique, Du Queiroz, Fabio, Nathan Fernandes and Pavón, who are injured. However, Renato Gaúcho will be able to count on Kannemann's return.

Before Flamengo faces Grêmio, Mais Querido takes the field on Thursday (19), in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals, against Peñarol. The game will be at Maracanã, at 7pm. The confrontation against the team from Rio Grande do Sul will be on the 22nd, at Arena do Grêmio.

The month of August was one of resistance for Flamengo. This is because Mais Querido was severely affected by injuries, with players missing out even for the rest of the season. One of them, Everton Cebolinha, shared this Tuesday (27) the evolution of his recovery after surgery to reconstruct the Achilles tendon.

Everton Cebolinha shared some photos on his Instagram where he showed what the place where he was was operated on. Remembering that the attacker underwent surgery on the 14th. Previously, he had already expressed himself on his social networks: “I will come back stronger”.

The attacker from Mais Querido left the field feeling pain in his ankle in the 1-1 draw with Palmeiras, at Maracanã. After carrying out tests, a serious injury was found. Cebolinha suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and will now be out of the season until 2025.

To replace Everton Cebolinha's absence, Flamengo ran into the transfer market and signed Michael. The striker was officially announced last Friday (23) and has already debuted with a goal against Bragantino on Sunday (25).
