Former Vasco player André Balada had a successful career in football, with achievements such as the Copa do Brasil and games with the Brazilian team, as well as time in Europe. However, the former striker revealed that he only had one dream left to fulfill: playing for Flamengo.

In an interview with journalist Igor Rodrigues, André preferred to remain secretive, but said that he did not play for his favorite team and that More Querido is still alive in the current Libertadores. However, his father ended the suspense by saying that Flamengo is the club that has had the former striker's heart since his childhood.

"(What was missing from his career?) He missed winning a Brazilian championship. ( Wasn't there a club missing?) My father is a Basque fan (laughs), I played for his club. (Did he play for yours?) Yeah... No. (Can you tell me which team you love?) When I can, I go and watch my team's games. (Is he at Libertadores?) Yes, he's at Libertadores", said André, who saw the mystery go 'down the drain' because of his father.

“His dream was to play for Flamengo. We spent a month negotiating with Flamengo, it almost worked”, said Lenílson Marins, André Balada’s father. The aforementioned dialogue took place in 2011. The player played for Bordeux (FRA), and would be loaned to Mais Querido and even embarked from France to Brazil. However, on a stopover in Germany, his phone rang and the businessman informed him that he had signed a deal with Atlético-MG at the last minute.
