Appearing on the podcast "Boteco do Chula," hosted by former striker Aloísio Chulapa, Adriano Imperador opened up about his relationship with former teammates . The former player, who played for Flamengo , stated that few of his teammates care about him these days.
"There's no price to be with the people you love. I'm not one to give interviews, but today I insisted, I came for pleasure. Nobody cares about Didico anymore . The only player who calls me to see how I'm doing is Aloísio Chulapa . There are few who care about others. There are few human beings who care," said Adriano.
The former No. 9 continued to emphasize the importance of his friendship with Aloísio Chulapa, who, according to him, always showed affection and support in difficult moments. " Do you know who was the only player who cried for me, as a human being? It was Aloísio. It's something that can't be explained. Good things are kept with us, " the Emperor added.
A product of Flamengo 's youth academy, Adriano made his professional debut in 2000 before moving to Inter Milan. At the Italian club, he won eight titles and enjoyed the most memorable period of his career, earning the nickname "Emperor."
His good performances also led him to shine for the Brazilian National Team, winning the Copa América in 2004 and the Confederations Cup in 2005. In 2008, he returned to Brazilian football, where he played for São Paulo before returning to Flamengo in 2009. Upon his return, he was a key player in winning the Brazilian Championship, marking his name once and for all in the red-black history.
The club raised R$518.4 million in sales, spent R$309 million on signings and expects historic revenue of over R$1.7 billion by the end of the year.

Flamengo closed the mid-2025 transfer window with intense market activity. The balance sheet released by the board shows that the club raised more than it invested , strengthening its cash flow and strengthening its squad.
R$518.4 million was received from the departure of seven players , including important names such as Gerson (R$160.6 million), Wesley (R$162.2 million) and Fabrício Bruno (R$44 million). At the same time, the club continued to sign strategic players, projecting to close the year with revenue exceeding R$1.7 billion.
The biggest sale of the window was Wesley, who netted the club R$162.2 million. Besides him, Charly Alcaraz (R$96 million) and Matheus Gonçalves (R$50 million) also left the team , totaling significant sums. Loans and other transfers rounded out the list of moves that helped bolster the club's coffers.
Despite significant departures, the board remained focused on strengthening the squad. In total, seven signings were made for 2025, three of which were free: Danilo, Jorginho, and Saúl Ñiguez.
The biggest investment was Samuel Lino, acquired for R$143 million in a historic deal for the club. Besides him, Emerson Royal (R$58 million), Jorge Carrascal (R$77 million), and Juninho (R$31 million) completed the list of paid reinforcements.
Even with the punishment of a 12-game suspension and a fine of R$60,000, the club is not expected to go to the market in search of a striker, trusting in the current squad.

Despite the suspension imposed on striker Bruno Henrique , Flamengo will not make any moves in the market to find an immediate replacement. The board was already considering the possibility of losing the player and believes there are enough options within the squad to maintain the team's performance.
According to a report by Gazeta do Urubu , coach Filipe Luís believes Pedro has reached his best physical form and can assume a greater offensive role. Furthermore, Gonzalo Plata and Wallace Yan are seen as viable alternatives to fill the position , while Juninho is expected to be reinstated in the squad for the next rounds of the Brasileirão.
The Superior Court of Sports Justice sentenced Bruno Henrique this Thursday (29) to a 12-game suspension and a fine of R$60,000. The decision is valid for national competitions, such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil, but does not, for now, affect the Libertadores.
However, the case is expected to be referred to FIFA. If the governing body agrees to extend the ban, the striker will also be barred from international matches , increasing the impact of the punishment for Mengão.
The process began after suspicions of manipulation related to a yellow card received by Bruno Henrique in the match against Santos, held at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, on November 1, 2023.
According to the investigation, the player allegedly provided advance notice of the warning, which benefited his brother, Wander, who then passed the information on to third parties involved in sports betting. The investigation led to a disciplinary decision by the Superior Court of Justice (STJD), which may now have repercussions in international courts.
After four days of rest, the red-black squad returns to training at Ninho do Urubu under the command of Filipe Luís and begins preparations for the away match.

After four days off , the Flamengo squad returned to activities this Friday (5), at Ninho do Urubu, under the command of Filipe Luís. The team is preparing for the next commitment in the Brazilian Championship , scheduled for September 14, against Juventude, in Caxias do Sul.
The group returned at 3:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Training Center in Vargem Grande . On Saturday (6), the work will be carried out in the morning, at 9:30 am, with the same schedule repeated on Sunday (7).
Filipe Luís will be tasked with adjusting the team for the match against Juventude at Alfredo Jaconi. Despite the technical differences between the teams and their good form in the tournament, Flamengo doesn't have a favorable record when facing the Gauchos away from home.
Their last away win came in 1997, when they won 1-0 in the Brasileirão . Since then, Mengão has lost seven and drawn six in Rio Grande do Sul. The match at Juventude's home ground has always been a difficult one.
Currently, the red-and-black team leads the national competition, with 47 points from 21 matches, with 14 wins , five draws, and only two losses. Juventude, on the other hand, is facing a difficult time, occupying 18th place with 21 points, achieved through six wins, three draws, and 12 losses.
