Former Flamengo coach and current commentator, Silas commented on Pedro's absence in the 1-0 defeat to Santos , last Wednesday (16), at Vila Belmiro. Silas also positively assessed Filipe Luís's start to Flamengo , calling the former full-back's management "excellent." However, he left a demand: that the coach also take a stand on the board's actions, especially regarding the episode involving leaked internal conversations about Pedro.
In screenshots circulated in the press, a Flamengo football department executive revealed his desire to receive a €15 million (approximately R$97 million) offer for the striker. The information bothered Pedro, who mentioned the incident when explaining himself to the group.
"Filipe's work has been excellent so far. But, just as he had the courage to speak out about Pedro, he could also take a stand against the board, which ended up exposing the player with these leaked statements ," said Silas.
