Last Saturday (23), one of the knockout stages of the Portuguese Cup was played. ASF Aves entered the field to compete against Louletano. The boy from Ninho, Carlos Daniel started on the bench, but was the hero of Aves' classification when he entered the second stage.
The 21-year-old striker decided the game with a goal that guaranteed a place in the next phase of the tournament, less than a month after the club's announcement. In stoppage time of the final stage, the striker shot from inside the area and scored the goal of classification for ASF Aves, with the right to hit the post before entering the goal.
If there was no goal, the classification would be decided on penalties. Ninho's goal, in fact, was his first as a professional player, as was defender Otávio's goal last Friday (22). Aves is the fourth club in Carlos Daniel's career, because he already played for Flamengo, Boavista and Fortaleza before going to Portugal.
According to journalist Guilherme Pinheiro, from the Flazoeiro channel, Carlos Daniel was to Aves (POR) free of charge, however, Flamengo maintained 20% of the player's economic rights. He left Rubro Negro in April last year to go to Fortaleza, where he had an opportunity in the under-23 team.
The striker stayed at Mais Querido's youth team for five years and was part of the golden generation (2002) which won the Guilherme Embry under-16 tournament (2018), Brazilian Championship under-17 and under-20, Rio Cup under-17 (2019), Tournament Tournament in England (2019), OPG Tournament and Guanabara Cup under- 20 (2021).

Coach Eduardo Domínguez tested a more conservative formation, including an extra defensive midfielder in midfield, as a strategy to contain Flamengo's attacks. According to Radio Província 1270 in La Plata, the change could result in only one striker on the field , demonstrating a more solid defensive posture.
Estudiantes ' likely lineup for the clash includes: Muslera; Gómez, Nuñez, Rodríguez, Arzamendia; Ascacibar, Piovi, Amondarain, Medina, Tiago Palacios; Carrillo.
