Last Tuesday, the candidate for re-election for mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, denied the journalist Ancelmo Gois, from Globo. In a post on Instagram, the mayor informed that the city hall will be responsible for removing the megastructure on the gas meter site, different from what was reported. Furthermore, he guaranteed that Flamengo will have its new stadium, with the best conditions and security.

The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

According to the article, the companies were informed that Flamengo is the responsible for bearing the expenses, as provided for in one of the annexes to the land purchase and transfer contract. The clause, however, does not have a specified limit.

Eduardo Paes guarantees that the removal is the responsibility of Rio's city hall.

Paes stated that the values for the transfer of the structure are different from what was pointed out in the article by Ancelmo Gois. Furthermore, it exempted Flamengo from any responsibility, and that the city hall has been planning to remove it for years.

“They are making me defend @flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the The cost of this transfer and when it happens will be the responsibility of the city of Rio, which knows that this structure cannot be in an area that is already receiving so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in the gasometer with all the quality and safety that the region demands and deserves. Period!”, published the mayor.

Flamengo signed a great player for this season, Nicolás De La Cruz. The arrival of the Uruguayan midfielder became a topic of debate on the Arena SBT program. For the former São Paulo player, Cicinho, the midfielder is not a great reinforcement for Mais Querido. The opinion ended up generating mockery from commentator Mano, who said that the former full-back prefers Wellington Rato, currently at São Paulo.

Cicinho: “Flamengo actually has two teams. In my opinion, Flamengo is a super favorite this season because they have a bench close to the starter. It's a team where you can rest one or another player. But particularly, I don't see all that in De La Cruz.”

Mano: “Well, it's Wellington Rato (laughs).”

Cicinho: “No, it's not a question of Wellington Rato. But in my opinion, I don't think all this fuss is for De La Cruz.”

After Cicinho's speech, Mao spoke again and highlighted how he thinks coach Tite will choose De La Cruz and Arrascaeta in the Rubro Negro: “Flamengo today, on paper, on the continent, is the best team in South America. Fact. Everton Ribeiro would be useful until page 2, but in Tite's lineup, he would fight with Arrascaeta in the 'meiuca'. In other words, he would play in the middle. With the arrival of De La Cruz, who I don't know if he will be a starter or will start on the bench, but I believe that Tite should play alongside Arrascaeta, he's great, there's no way around it”, concluded Mano.

< b>REPRESENTATION OF THE CAST AND ONLY LA CRUZ AS REINFORCEMENT

Last Monday (8), the Rubro Negro cast reappeared at CT Ninho do Urubu to start the pre-season. At the beginning of the year, only De La Cruz was announced as a reinforcement. There is an expectation that the Mais Querido board will announce new players by the end of the transfer window.
