O Flamengo agreed to sell Fabrício Bruno to West Ham for R$83 million. Recently, the defender was called up to represent Dorival Júnior's Brazilian team in friendlies against England and Spain. Even though the defender was left out of the Copa América, the Amarelinha coach praised the player.

In an interview in the Maracanã mixed zone before the Solidarity Game, Dorival Júnior spoke about Fabrício Bruno's consistency and about his good performances for the Brazilian team during friendlies.

“He is a player who has been playing regularly for Flamengo, in addition to the two friendlies between England and Spain. He is an important player who was not called up for nothing by the Brazilian National Team”, stated Dorival Júnior.

HIGHLIGHT IN THE SELECTION AND INTEREST OF EUROPEAN CLUBS

Fabrício Bruno had a great performance in the two friendlies with the Brazilian team. In this way, the defender caught the attention of several European clubs and, not surprisingly, West Ham advanced in negotiations to have the defender.

HONORS VETED BY CONMEBOL

In this way, this Tuesday (28) Fabrício Bruno will play his last match with Manto Sagrado. The Flamengotried to organize some tributes to the defender, but Conmebol vetoed it. Thus, only the fans will be able to do the due honors from the stands.

The Mais Queridoreturns to the field this Tuesday (28) against Millonarios, in a game valid for the last round of the Libertadores group stage. The clash will be held at Mara, at 9pm.

Carlinhos' performance in the last classic between Flamengoand Vasco, played on Sunday, has generated a wave of criticism and questions from the red and black fans. The striker, who entered the field in the 18th minute of the second half, replacing Bruno Henrique, played a discreet role and ended up failing to help the team in one of the most decisive moments of the match.

The classic, as always, was a game intense and highly anticipated by both fans, with great weight for the championship table and the morale of the teams. However, Carlinhos' entry, which lasted just 27 minutes, was considered below expectations, especially in a scenario where Flamengo was looking for a victory to distance itself from its rivals.

FLAMENGO HAS A DEFICIENCY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP < /b>

During the 27 minutes he was on the field, Carlinhos barely appeared, failing to influence the game as expected. The player only touched the ball a few times, did not create clear scoring chances and also did not help efficiently in the defensive system. With an apathetic performance, the striker ended up becoming a target of frustration for the fans, who expected more from a player who, at other times, had already demonstrated the potential to be decisive.

The lack of offensive participation was a of the main points raised by critics. In a game that required creativity and boldness to break through the Vasco blockade, Carlinhos was unable to find spaces or impose his presence as a constant threat to the opponent's goal. In classics, where every detail makes a difference, this lack of protagonism weighed even more.

The replacement of Bruno Henrique by Carlinhoswas also a factor that generated discussion. Bruno Henrique, although he was not having a brilliant performance, is a player recognized for his ability to decide games, especially in big confrontations. His departure 18 minutes into the second half was justified by the coaching staff as part of the planning to spare the athlete, who recently returned from injury.

After taking charge of Flamengo, Tite, former coach of the Brazilian national team, made it clear that he is quickly adapting to the club's culture. In recent statements, he highlighted Rubro-Negro's striking characteristic: the incessant search for all possible titles. According to the coach, this spirit of intense competition is something that he not only admires, but is also incorporating into his own work philosophy.

Tite, known for his meticulous and results-focused work, revealed that the Transition to Flamengo involves constant learning, especially in relation to the club's winning mentality. "Flamengo has this culture of fighting for every title. There is no focus on just one competition, the goal is to win everything within reach", he explained.

THE COACH WANTS A COMPETITIVE STYLE

This characteristic is notable in Flamengoin recent years, which has won several important competitions, such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores. Tite, accustomed to pressure and the need for results, states that this mentality is something he is adopting in his day-to-day life at the club. “I see this culture, and this is what we are doing. Flamengo has this requirement, and I am a coach who likes this type of challenge.”

Although Tite has an established career, with successful spells at clubs such as Corinthians and the Brazilian national team, Flamengo represents a new experience for the coach. He is now at the helm of a team that has traditionally had fans calling for victories in every competition they compete in, something he sees as a positive challenge.

"You have to learn every day Even with the experience I have, here I realize that there are very high expectations, but at the same time that's what makes you grow", commented the coach. For him, working at a club that maintains such a high level of demand motivates him to always seek the best.

The Brazilian team suffered a severe blow this week. Striker Pedro, from Flamengo, was diagnosed with a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, during preparatory training for the match against Ecuador, in Curitiba. The serious injury took the player out of action for the remainder of the 2024 season, impacting both Flamengo and the national team.

DORIVAL JÚNIOR REGRETS THE INJURY< /b>

In an interview with Sportv this Thursday (05), Dorival Júnior, coach of the Brazilian team, expressed his sadness with Pedro's situation. The coach highlighted the moment the injury occurred, during an isolated play, where the attacker caught his foot on the pitch. According to Dorival, it was possible to understand the severity of the injury by the athlete's scream of pain.

“I deeply regret everything that happened. We reviewed the images several times and, on the first play of training, Pedro injured himself. He was absolutely in the game, his foot locked and made a movement like a ‘whip’. I was close and realized the severity of the scream”, reported the coach.

PLAYER'S EFFORT RECOGNIZED

Dorival Júnior also highlighted Pedro's effort to be present at the call, considering the joint work carried out between the medical department of Flamengoand the Brazilian national team. The coach also mentioned that, in the past, the striker had already missed a call-up due to an injury, and that the national team door will remain open for him in the future.

“It's a sad scene that repeats itself. Some time ago, Pedro had already been called up and an injury prevented him from participating. I have a lot of affection for him, and there will be no shortage of opportunities in the national team because of the person he is”, added Dorival Júnior in an interview with ge.

FLAMENGO ALSO AFFECTED

With Pedro's absence, Flamengo sees another of its players withdraw due to injury, joining other athletes in the club's medical department. The top scorer, who had been a key player this season, will have a long road of recovery ahead of him.
