The chance of Gabigol transferring to Corinthians at the moment is highly unlikely, according to journalist Pablo Raphael, from Gazeta do Urubu. This is due to the fact that the attacker has no desire to leave Flamengo, and the club does not consider the possibility of selling its main player for an amount considered 'insufficient'.
''I asked people inside Flamengo regarding the possible exchange of Gabigol for Yuri Alberto and Fausto Vera, the response was: "Nothing arrived. Gabigol is one of the main players in America, the club intends to renew with him.", confirmed the journalist.
During an interview with Rádio Bandeirantes last Monday, the president of the black and white team, Augusto Melo, highlighted that Gabigol is a player who fits the profile desired by Corinthians.
During the afternoon of the last Sunday (12), some sectors of the São Paulo club indicated a possible exchange of Flamengo's number 10, for striker Yuri Alberto and midfielder Fausto Vera, however, nothing official arrived at Mais Querido.
With a contract until the end of 2024, Gabriel has already had the first conversations with the club and forwarded an agreement until the end of 2028. The red-black directors chose to postpone the signing of the contract due to the phase of the 10 shirt on the field and with the fans. But the tendency is for the athlete to complete a decade with Flamengo.

Flamengo confirmed, on Tuesday morning (10), the payment of Gerson's termination fee by Zenit. The amount of 25 million euros ( approximately R$ 160 million, at the current exchange rate ) was paid in cash and deposited directly into the Rio de Janeiro club's account, a few hours after the player arrived in Rio de Janeiro, coming from the Club World Cup.
Negotiations between Flamengo and the Russian team had already been in place for about a month. However, the approach of Al Nassr, from Saudi Arabia, last week forced Zenit to act quickly to secure the deal. The Arab club tried to use the influence of coach Jorge Jesus to attract the midfielder, but negotiations with the Russians were already at an advanced stage.
CHARTER FLIGHT AND CONTRACT
According to information from the ge.globo portal, Zenit's board of directors has formally agreed to pay Flamengo the full fine. Gerson is now preparing to board a chartered flight to Russia, where he will be officially presented and sign a five-year contract with the St. Petersburg club.

A champion of important titles with Flamengo , midfielder Willian Arão is back in Brazilian football . At 33 years old, the player was announced as the new reinforcement for Santos, with Neymar, for the rest of the season. According to the 'GE' portal, Arão signed a contract until the end of 2026, with an automatic renewal clause for another year, allowing him to remain at Vila Belmiro until the end of 2027.
The player had offers from the United States and the United Arab Emirates, but chose to return to the country to wear the Peixe shirt . Before signing, Arão underwent medical examinations and was approved by the Santos medical department. He will officially present himself this Tuesday (01), at CT Rei Pelé.
VICTORIOUS PASSAGE IN EUROPE
Since leaving Flamengo in 2022, Willian Arão has played for three seasons in European football. The contract with Panathinaikos ended last Monday (30), and Santos took the opportunity to sign the midfielder without transfer costs . Flamengo , in turn, showed no interest in repatriating him.

Arão could be back with Flamengo very soon. That's because the duel between Santos and Mengão is scheduled for July 16th, for the Brasileirão . It will be the first match for the Rubro-Negro after the Club World Cup and could mark the midfielder's debut wearing the Santos jersey — precisely against the team where he became an idol.
