EXCLUSIVE: WITH AIM FOR SHOOTING, FLAMENGO WANTS TO GIVE MORE TIME ON THE FIELD TO CARLINHOS AND GERSON AGAINST PALMEIRAS

The long-awaited clash between Palmeiras and Flamengo, valid for the third round of the Brasileirão 2024, is scheduled for this Sunday (21), at 4pm (Brasília time), at Allianz Parque. Verdão fans promise to fill the stadium to support the team in the duel against the red-black team from Rio.

The Flamengo arrives at the game as leader of the Brazilian Championship, adding 6 points and a record of two consecutive victories. In the last round, Rubro-Negro beat São Paulo 2-1, at Maracanã Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

Aiming for the confrontation, which precedes the Libertadores match against Bolivar , coach Tite plans to give more time on the field to some players, such as Carlinhos, Gerson and Bruno Henrique. The latter, in fact, should be a starter in the duel, since Cebolinha must be spared to fully recover from muscle edema.

The technical committee will evaluate the wear and tear of each player, and in addition to Cebolinha, the club will be able to count on other athletes being spared in the match. Léo Pereira and Pulgar will also be evaluated in training.
