The Flamengo is preparing to expand its training center, Ninho do Urubu. The club's board plans to acquire two plots of land neighboring the CT, which is located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The acquisition of land is seen as a fundamental strategy to meet the club's growing needs, both for the professional team and the youth teams.
With the purchase, Flamengo intends to increase the facilities at Ninho do Urubu, creating more training spaces and improving existing infrastructure. The expansion project is still in the planning phase, but the purchase of land is expected to be completed soon. This expansion is part of Flamengo's broader plan to invest in infrastructure, aiming to consolidate itself as one of the most structured clubs in the country and Latin America.
FLAMENGO HAS NEW INVESTMENT IN ITS CLUB
Ninho do Urubu is already considered one of the best training centers in Brazil, but the board of Flamengo wants to go further. With the expansion, the idea is to offer even more resources for athletes, such as new training fields, gyms, physical recovery areas, and spaces for the integration of the youth categories with the main team.
A One of the main objectives of this expansion is to provide better conditions for the development of young players. With more space and quality infrastructure, Flamengo hopes to produce athletes who are more prepared to play in the first team and in professional football. Integration between the youth teams and the professional squad is one of the club's priorities, and the new structure should facilitate this process.

The weekend will be decisive for the Série D of the Brazilian Championship: the four clubs that will gain access to the Third Division will be known. One of the duels takes place this Saturday (06), at 4 pm (Brasília time), between Barra-SC and Cianorte-PR , in Santa Catarina. On the Paraná side, the main reference is a name very familiar to Flamengo fans : Hernane Brocador.
Hernane Brocador, ex-Flamengo, on the decisive duel in Série D: "I believe everything will work out"
Cianorte has never played in Série C and is one game away from a historic feat. In the first leg, in Paraná, the teams drew 0-0, leaving everything open . Even playing away from home, Hernane, 39, remains confident of promotion.
"We're going to the long-awaited match, which is promotion. I believe everything will go well. I'll have something extra in my career. I said I'd come here to win promotion, but when you achieve that first step, you strive for even more . Titles and promotions make an athlete great," the striker told ge.
Signed mid-year, Hernane has nine appearances and one goal for the club. He's expected to start the decision on the bench, but his experience remains an asset for coach Rafael Ferro. "Ferro made it clear that if I see something, I should pass it on to him and help. It's his first job, and he's subject to trial and error . We always want to play, but we understand the importance of having an experienced player in the squad to serve as a role model for the younger players," commented the center forward.
Hernane plans to retire in 2026 and is already studying to become a coach. Until then, he aims to add to his list of achievements. Despite having played for several clubs, the striker left his mark on Flamengo , where he won the 2013 Copa do Brasil and the 2014 Carioca Championship. With the Manto, he played 86 matches and scored 45 goals.

Since Luiz Eduardo Baptista took office as president, Flamengo has been fighting for a more advantageous division within Libra . However, the club has been unable to reach an agreement with the other members of the bloc and estimates a loss of approximately R$100 million from 2024 to 2025, while its rivals have come out ahead. The contract signed between Libra and Globo provides for a payment of R$1.170 billion to the Série A clubs, plus a share of R$100 million to R$200 million in pay-per-view , depending on total revenue.
Sharing follows the following model:
The point of contention lies in the audience distribution. In games like Flamengo vs. Vitória, for example, the criteria establishes that the ratings are split 50-50 , even though the majority of the audience is driven by the red-and-black side.
Flamengo attempted to change the rule, proposing adjustments that could increase its revenue by up to R$23 million , but there was no consensus. According to journalist Rodrigo Mattos, the other clubs refused to give up the funds that would have been allocated to them.
Without an agreement, Flamengo notified Globo and other members of the bloc, requesting a suspension of distribution until a standard distribution is established. The club believes the current pay-per-view rules are confusing and lack well-established parameters.
On one hand, Flamengo believes that changes could only take effect starting in 2026. On the other, Libra accuses the club of intransigence , claiming it tried to impose immediate changes. According to Flamengo's accounts, TV revenue, which ranged between R$290 million and R$300 million in 2024, is expected to fall to R$190 million to R$200 million in 2025.
The crisis has completely damaged the relationship between Flamengo and Libra. Although the club is not considering leaving the bloc, it already considers it unlikely that it will negotiate new contracts together. The dispute, however, is far from over and is expected to yield new chapters in the coming months.
Mengão was behind on the scoreboard for most of the match and the absence of players who were traded and called up was felt against Cruzmaltino

After four rounds without losing — with three wins and one draw — Flamengo suffered its first defeat in the Campeonato Carioca Sub-20 . On Saturday morning (6), in Gávea, Rubro-Negro was beaten by Vasco by 3 to 1, in a duel valid for the 6th round of the competition.
Vasco didn't take long to open the scoring. Just three minutes in, Samuel played a clever one-two through the middle and finished into Léo Nannetti's top corner : 1-0. Flamengo struggled to penetrate the area against Vasco's tight defense, while the refereeing, by excessively stopping the game due to fouls, left the first half a tense period without any significant chances.
In the second half, the Red-Blacks managed to rally. In the 16th minute, after a cross was blocked by the opposing defense, Daniel Sales took a first-time shot from outside the box and scored a stunning goal , tying the derby. However, the draw was short-lived.
Right from the start, Vasco scored again through Riquelme, who capitalized on a rebound to put the visitors back in front . Shortly after, in the 23rd minute, Samuel received the ball in the box and passed it to Léo Jacó to make it 3-1.
With a comfortable lead, Vasco retreated to hold on. Flamengo had more possession , but couldn't convert their dominance into clear-cut chances. João Vitor scored the fourth goal in the final play, sealing Vasco's victory.
